People who get paid to do a service shouldn't complain in front of their client. That is so unprofessional. I always get these types of comments and bad vibes from hairdressers because of my rather long and thick hair since they have to work i bit harder to style it. Meanwhile I do the exact same thing every day to my own hair and survived this far 😒 Or makeup artists that complain that their costumee has hooded eyes or textured skin 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
@@gluckwunschwinston5618 I agree. It’s so unprofessional for them to complain, especially in front of the client! That’s what you’re literally getting PAID to do. I had a lash tech complain that I had “too many lashes” and they weren’t straight enough. Smh. Literally all she did was complain during the entire appointment, and then she didn’t even do the style of lash I asked her to do.
I left this in my own comment, but I was professionally waxed one time after trying to give myself a full Brazilian and getting half way through. I was so nervous before the wax, and the woman made me feel so uncomfortable. And I was already trimmed and half way done when I went it. Despite my RU-vid name I am a woman and I had told myself not to worry because I was seeing a female waxing professional who would make the experience less scary. Nope, she was quite offensive and I felt so guilty for even making the appointment. I swear I thought waxing professionals would all be nice because their clients are in such a venerable position.
@@mrdad-zl9zl yup once you find a good wax lady who makes you feel comfortable you never let her go. It’s such a vulnerable position to be in they should not make you feel worse
I don’t think what he said was mean. He just told her how he felt. The truth isn’t always pretty. I do understand how hurtful it was, but what was he supposed to do? Lie even though he couldn’t get hard?
I need Netflix, Hulu, or somebody to partner with you for a show about your childhood! Like seriously, as a 2000's baby, I imagine that everyone who grew up in the 90s had a childhood like yours.
I remember when I first got my house and a solicitor knocked on my door and asked me, "Where are your parents?" I said, probably at THEIR house..... He got a good laugh out of that. I owned a whole home and still looked like a kid.
She was unprofessional. I love getting waxed. My esthetician would never and she educates on proper care to prevent ingrown hair. Exfoliating before and 24 hours after.
Yes! It's a whole process! Lol 😂 I exfoliate 24 hrs before, take advil beforehand and don't drink any coffee. I've tried 4 estheticians and I finally found my fav!
@@berlizgonzalez6736 Exactly. I am so happy you found your favorite esthetician. I have been with mine for 8 years. Once she went on vacation, and they gave me someone else, never again. I will wait. Like all professions, everyone is not created equal. You must do your research.
💯 mine is so professional. All these new waxing spots popping up and I’m like oh nooooo. No no. The people employed at a lot of them are like 18-19yr olds. Not coming near my 😸 with a 10ft pole. You need a good waxer and it will be a completely different experience.
When she put the waxers comments up on the screen I literally had to pause the video I was crying laughing so hard! Give this woman a show! She is so hilarious!
Lmao my 28 year old virgin ass is never going through that! I had my legs waxed for prom and that was it for me, never again. The freedom that comes with not having to engage in so many of those beauty routines is unmatched 👌🏼
As I’m pretty sure you’ve heard before, a man who is into women and is into you won’t be repulsed by hair. Now, that doesn’t mean he won’t do you dirty or even really like you as a person. Honestly, stay a virgin and don’t engage with these men. I wished I had listened when women would tell me this😭
Thank you for sharing! I am a gay man and had similar experiences, everyone is different. When my partner let me know of their preference, I was relieved that the maintenance would be so much easier. All of our bodies are beautiful and we should respect and love them. I love your videos and when I tell you I SCREAMED when you said that man was two feet of head! 💀💀💀💀 Thank for always making my day. Your videos are so relatable! 💝
"The arms of a neglected scarecrow."🤣🤣🤣🤣 I thought the same as your male friend. The guy thought you had some issue and he was afraid for himself. Randomness but how is your pup?
Sis that was a good one right there. Yes I totally see how you use to watch Diary of an awkward black girl on you tube back in the day and related to it as I did too! I am 43 but understand your story and your struggle Mama. Love the advice at the end. It's more important to be comfortable with yourself instead of trying to be something other people, especially men, are comfortable with or find desirable. Thank you for sharing. Great delivery per usual.
“He was mostly head” HOLLERING!! I got my first Brazilian about two weeks ago (I’m 33 btw). Unimpressed with the results for all that pain. Won’t do that again.
"He had 2-4 feet of just head. He had the arms of a neglected scarecrow." LMAO!! In all seriousness, I appreciate your transparency. I'm sure a lot of us have experienced embarrassing sexual moments but aren't as brave as you are to share them with the world.
I just rewatched this video and I can’t stop LMAO at the same thing!! AND “..pieced together by a confused Frankenstein” 😂 Oh, how I miss these story times 😩
Traumatizing. I just shave or use creams which you are really not supposed to do. But your coworker is right. If they really care about you, they don't care about down there.
Sometimes I feel bad for how much I'm cackling throughout the whole video. It's because you're hilarious, not because I'm laughing at you. I lost it at "you're (redacted) doesn't turn me on". SIR! How are you going to say "Promise you won't get mad" and follow it up with that. I AM DECEASED. Also, "why am I sweating so much" LOOOOL. I am dying over here in the middle of my work day. Some people are weird about down there hair, I personally don't care but I trim mine from time to time.
I screamed! My first Brazilian, my wax lady went through the same thing with me. She tried to trim me down and almost cut my damn labia minora! Like if I didn't flinch she would have cut my shyt off!! Not a good experience at all. With waxes, once you find your person.... the woman that you are compatible with, wax wise... its a breeze. But when you have folliculitis, for my ladies with the rougher textured hair down there (like myself) a wax is like a must. Consistency lightens that area down there which I like. Also, when you are intimate and if you like cunnilingus performed on you, it enhances your senses even more. I have been celibate for going on 2 yrs now but I stay consistent with my waxes because I've found THE ONE--(my wax lady) and I just feel like a new being every time I get one. And if I ever happen to slip on aisle 5 (wink) at least I'll already be ready. GREAT STORY STEPH! 🤣
I guess I got lucky. I’ve heard horror stories about Brazilians, but the first and only time I had one, my wax lady was AMAZING. It wasn’t as painful as I expected. She was very gentle and professional, and it looked as smooth as the skin on my arm when she was done 😂 If I ever decide to get another one, I would definitely go back to her.
That's what happened to me the first time I tried to get it done! This lady tried to use large orange construction paper scissors to trim me down and nipped me several times! At one point, I took the scissors from her and starting trimming myself! But every time she snatched off the strip it felt like someone tore my skin off! I had to roll over on my side to catch my breath and regain my senses every time she did it. When she got to my labia, I said no stop. I was done. I walked out half bald kitty. Paid and everything. I was like never again.
@@sleepbaby17 aww damn ‼️ Yes it's really the waxer. Not everyone is meant to be a wax lady. Some of them are impatient. They tell you to cock your legs up and hold it, and to hold down your skin ect. Any wax lady that has me helping her do the work is a Buenos noches fa me. 👎🚫🙅♀️ A real wax lady knows to let you lay on your back, legs diamond shaped, and they talk your ear off so you don't focus on the pain. You're supposed to be a Pillow Princess. Then, they tell you to lie on your tummy, they get the rear end right 👍. Den You're done.
But seriously God Bless you for telling your stories. I always feel seen and understood that there are other people stumbling through dating/life like I am.
Lol! not "why am I sweating so much".We love whatever storytimes we get Steph, thank you, this one did not disappoint. Personally, I only ever do a bikini wax if I'll be in a bathing suit. Other than that, welcome to the jungle baby!😅
As hard as it was for you to open up about the trauma of seeing a waxing professional for your bikini area I am so glad you did. My only professional wax was after I had tried to give myself a full Brazilian and about half way through it I realized I it was too painful to finish on my own and needed a professional. I walked into my appointment explaining the situation and not only was I already trimmed to the correct waxing length, half my hair was already removed. Yet the woman doing my wax was so offensive. She appeared so grossed out by my anatomy I actually started to feel guilty for subjecting her to my nudity. I went into the appointment telling myself it isnt so scary because waxing professionals are used to it and will make their client feel comfortable. Well I was wrong. Of course, I imagine she was just not a good wax artist when it came to bedside manner, but I was in such a venerable position already, having someone act like they hated my vagina for existing in their environment was generally traumatic to me. And your wax artist was so much more offensive I would have wanted to cry and leave if I were in your situation. I still feel embarrassed from my waxing situation. BUT this video helped me feel better about it because now I see something similar has happened to another person.
You popped up right on time!! I was scrolling for like an hour looking for a nice lengthy video to listen to while I write my to do list that I will never follow ✍🏾
Your story was crazy. I always had good experiences, but I also chose black estheticians. The only reason I started waxing myself was because of the pandemic. It is my preference to have less hair. I’ve actually never had a partner care too much. Male or female.
57,543: The amount of times I had to pause and walk around my room. This is the cringe I LIVE for. I feel upset, entertained and seent. Bless you for this honesty. God damn.
I got a Brazilian wax for the first time when I was getting married and yeah no, never again. At least childbirth has an option for an epidural. There ain’t no numbing medicine for that kind of pain! And I’d rather give birth again than do another Brazilian. It’s a NO for me.
I got a Brazilian it hurt like hell but my waxer was great! I loved the results! She was so professional I can’t wait for my next wax! My waxer was phenomenal!
@@Arvndenise no it’s nooooooot they being dramatic. Child birth feels like youre going to just break in half without a epidural !! ( in my experience ! Lol)
That's exactly what happened to me fory first wax! The lady said thos exact words, why are u sweating so much, black girls sweat a lot, felt like shit. She didn't even use baby powder, buht it didn't deter me from trying again, got one just last week, its the waxer not the process, get a good waxer n all is good.
I definitely miss the old structure of your channel mainly because I found you so relatable to me you’re like big sis !! But literally so glad I watched this the day after I got my monthly wax lol I suggest sugaring if you decide to try it again
I used to get waxed and I dealt with bad ingrowns (even with exfoliating). So when the pandemic hit, I went back to shaving (with the grain, not against it). I shave like once a month and trim in between and my husband doesn't care either way.
Well yeah. Think about it - their business model wouldn't work if they were actually trying to get people in relationships because then they would leave the app. They make money by giving bad matches 🤷🏾♂️
I was on tinder for exactly one night out of curiosity and the amount of men that I matched with that just wanted to hook up made me heart sink. There were a couple who actually wanted to talk to me and date me but I can’t get close to someone online… it was weird. You can’t fall in like or love with someone by texting/messaging them.
i met my last two bfs from tinder☝🏾 long term relationships too lol. but to be fair that’s two vs the other probably 20 i had to talk to and sift through before i found either of them
I feel like men in general turn any dating site into a hook up site. I've been on serious sites and dealt with the same ish. That's one of the reasons I stopped going online.
I missed these story times, it's the stuff I wish they made tv sitcoms with black female leads about. But Hollywood is busy repeating the same shitty stories
I understand what you meant about looking younger than you are. It is such an annoying experience to be treated as a child when you are in fact an adult. Edit: that wasn't right for the woman to say that of your body though. Very unprofessional. Good on you for calling that guy out.
That guy who said that to you was very silly and childish. Maybe he had a problem with getting turned on and had to blame you for that. What guy says that!
She was a horrible waxer. I promise there’s better out there. You can’t base it off of one person and one experience. You also need to exfoliate a weekly and the day before your Wax. Hopefully you go to someone who is reputable and have a better experience
Thank you so much for sharing this story because I haven’t quite experienced this but I hear about ‘waxing’ and what things ‘should look like’ and was very insecure. One good thing about my ex was that we were each other’s first real experiences (he had some ex’s that fooled around a bit), but we were together for 10 years. He was just happy to have someone to cuddle, grab onto and get himself some, if you know what I mean. LOL! I’m divorced and turning 30 next month and terrified about what the heck I’m doing with my life. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing, I don’t have many close friends or sisters so this is the heart-warming, sisterly bonding stuff that just means so much to me. I’m sorry about that guy’s response and how much he hurt you. That male teacher’s response and hug almost made me cry because of how awkwardly kind he was. ❤️
Your hair looks beautiful this way. Your stories are interesting yet sometimes mortifying. What does your family think of them? Do they watch your show?
Whoever did your wax was really unprofessional. I wax as part of my career and even the most challenging hair I’ve never told anyone any of those things. It’s completely normal To sweat because you are nervous. Some people especially at the very beginning need a lot of wax or for the area to be gone over more than once. She just didn’t know what she was doing
@@TheSdcole60 the Brazilian wax itself can be done by either method. It’s just a difference of product used. You have the traditional wax which is usually a hard wax that is melted and removed with strips or without. The sugaring method is a sugar, lemon, water mixture that is used and formed into a sort of paste that is traditionally used without strips. With the wax it can adhere to live skin cells which is why it can be a little more painful. The sugaring method is said to be more gentle as the sugaring paste adheres only to the hair and not the skin so much. This is just a very, very brief description because I don’t want to write a whole essay. Many salons now offer sugaring as on option.
I knew a young lady that got a Brazilian wax and the lady wasn't paying attn and bumped into the small table the hot wax was on and it fell on her kewchie causing burns. I know then, I wouldn't get one. I got laser hair removal instead it's expensive but better than burning my privates off. 🙅🏿♀
I was wondering when you'd talk about this lol I thought you were saving it for your patreon, which is why I followed it in the 1st place XD Still no regrets though X)
I blame myself for being too over excited about getting a Brazilian wax that I didn’t ask enough questions or do enough research. This was about 9 years ago. A coworker told me she and some of the others girls or ladies all got waxed. This was the hot and new thing it seemed like all the Blk young girls and women were doing. I typically would just use a traditional razor and keep it moving, but trying to see what the hype was about I went to one of the Andrea’s waxing. I think that is what it was called. Anyway, I made sure my girlfriend was fresh, so I went home and took a shower and then walked in to a location. The girl was some Caucasian or other non black ethnicity. No problem. She seemed cool at first. So I get undressed and laid up on the table halfway embarrassed like this is so inappropriate in way. Anyway, I spread my legs on command and she applied the wax. The first snatch felt like she had ripped every fiber of my skin off. It was a burning sensation like someone let a fire to my behind. She then applied pressure with her hand over my girlfriend, and that did help a little. But I wanted to punch ol girl straight in the teeth. The part that really got me was when she asked me to get up on my knees and spread my butt cheeks, so she could get the hair that leads towards the back. I was like itch what!? Anyway, I obliged and slowly did as asked. All the while feeling like this is humiliating. Next thing I know she told me to turn over and she splashed my area with baby powder. Once she lathered me with baby powder I was literally over it and done. Got home and realized skin had been ripped off my girlfriend, so that itself is why it was burning. Have not done that mess to myself ever again…unless I get a legit referral and a better method. 🤭😂🤭🤭
I am brazilian, and guess what? I never did an brazilian wax, I use razors, I don't care if the hair gonna grow and cause a little stuble in someone (if you catch my drift) I don't deserve to feel unecessary pain.
It’s so opposite. when your younger you want to grow up fast and “look” like an adult. BUT, when you get older majority of women want to look younger and remain youthful.
Wait because the way you went in about the 2 feet of head & 8th grade girl hands 😂😂😂 I need more. I hope he DID NOT heed your warning to block you first.
I LOVE your story times! You have such a unique way of delivering them. even though I understood I was sad when you decided to stop. I don’t think any of your stories make you look bad… What makes them so unique to me is how you tell them in a completely honest fashion, like you don’t try to make yourself look perfect. ❤️
I'm screaming! You're so seriously unserious 🤣. So, I had my first wax experience recently and I'm in my 30s, I was worried about doing it but I had an amazing waxer. She was professional and made me feel comfortable..
girl… I wish we could have a longgggg phone conversation. I will make it my duty to try to get in contact with you. I feel like this is a NEED and not a want.
All head. Arms of an abandoned scarecrow. Hands of an 8th grade girl who plays the piano. He looked like he had been pieced together by a confused Frankenstein. 😂😭💀💀
This story made me feel a little better on a "meh" evening, so thank you so much for that. Not gonna lie, your story made me feel a lot of different emotions, but I mainly cracked up due to the absurdenss and comedic timings 🤣 love your dry humor and unapologetic story-telling. What an interesting subject though... Maybe TMI, but I too have resorted to the trimmer haha, shaving is just too itchy, and waxing... well, perhaps I will give the bikini-variant a go sometime in the future.
alot of women wax for themselve and not for men. its like women shaving its a preference of hair removal. alot of women dont shave or wax because the hair on their body doesnt bother them.
I made the mistake of listening to this while I had a few high stake deadlines to do.... little did I know I listened to a few sentences that triggered a certain sadness within me (which made me cryyy)... Eventhough this is meant to be funny. (It is in an extent, but there are some recogniceable pains hidden in this (nothing related with the vjayjay).. (😂 not to speak about the waxing).
Going to walk around the amusement park to meet guys 🤣 That brings back memories 💀 We never actually met any guys, but we’d find random cute guys to look at from a far and hope they’d notice us 😂
