I've seen many of your videos, very informative and helpful. I particularly like the "How-To's". Many thanks. However, I haven't seen any of your videos in which you review various DE razor blades. Could you post a review comparing DE blades? Thanks again!!

Hello Geo!! Thanks for another video! I said it before and I'll say it again. I ALWAYS LEARN SOMETHING NEW FROM YOU. To approach your face with a straight razor with the back edge BEFORE you get the angle of the blade on your skin is excellent advice!! Also to let your razor dry after you wipe it or to blow dry it is sound advice so as to avoid unwanted corrosion. By all means keep them coming!! I have a question I like to ask you. I need some advise or correction or whatever. I have this Balsa wood that is laced with chromium-oxide (directly on the wood) I use this to fine-finish a sharpening session, but now there are some black streaks. Is it good to replenish it with a layer of liquid chromium-oxide? What is your opinion?? Mind demonstrating on how to apply it, and how long to wait before using it? After a sharpening session and after drying it with a towel, should one wait to let the razor dry before fine-finishing with chromium-oxide? Alex

Hey Geo, I was wondering a few things, what is, in your own opinion, the best smelling/best shaving cream around? Also, what DE blades would you consider to be the best? Currently I have sharks super chrome de blades. Thanks Geo!

Purchased my first straight razor. Going to attempt to go real old school. Have been watching a lot of your videos for both DE and straight. With a shave ready Gold Dollar 208 what should I do before using the razor for the first time? Strap it? If so how many times? What is your recommendation for first time use? Thanks Brother. You videos are the best!

I want to buy an adjustable razor but can't decide between a vintage gillette or merkur progress. Mantic did a video saying that the gillette is extremely mild and he favors the merkur. What are your thoughts geo? And thanks a lot for all the work you put into making those videos. I really appreciate it.

Excellent video, Geo! There is one very big favor - make a video review iKON Standard Head Safety Razor (the Internet no videos how this stainless razor (on your site it is) on the forums write razor aggressively, others write soft). I'd like to know your opinion of the expert. Thanks in advance.

What I found helpful when learning how to shave with a straight razor is by using a shavette with no blade so I can get the angle right and muscle memory down and that way you don't have to wait for your facial hair to grow out

What do I do about a safety razor sticking on my 3rd pass (against the grain)? It's fine everywhere except under the left side of my neck and under the chin. Knicks like crazy

The Dreadnought and Parker hinged Shavette are pretty similar. The Dreadnought is a bit heavier construction.

Try an Edwin Jagger DE89. Very very comfortable shave. Or a Merkur. Depends on your price range though.
