Straights #39 - Does A&E Peaches & Cognac Live up to the Hype? 

Totally agree on the soap so glad I got the splash to kick it up. This one is nice on longevity it lasted on me quite awhile.

Great job taming the Dovo 95 Chris! It's a shame that I have too many soaps, otherwise, I would take a dip in the peach pool. Lol! I own 2 Dovo straights and the shavette. They are great razors. I get wicked edges when I hone them on my films. Whoever buys your Dovo 95 will find it an awesome razor. Some folks prefer heavier razors, but I like all sizes The large razors from 7/8 and up are good for the cool effect. Lol! Have an awesome day Chris!

That peach scent is so amazing it doesnt smell artificial that's what is beautiful about it. it's an extremely well balanced soap. 🙌 And kaizen is the shit,Peter is doing an amazing job. Keep it up sharky. And remember to send me my money for saying this.🤘😉🤘

Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. Save your Money, spend it on your wife, don't listen to the shave Mafia. I think it’s easy for people to say something is hyped when all the content creators get a soap and they are all doing videos, so people need to take that into consideration, and with that being said, if a soap is just that good, then it’s just that good, hands down. I've been wetshaving for about 6 years. I've just not started getting into the artisan stuff. Been search high and low for what I'd be into. Came across this scent and your video sold me. Got it and do I love the scent. The only issue is, it burns the crap out of my skin! XD

I just got a sample-sized tub of this from Maggards and shaved with it this morning. Great performance, but I did not smell peaches at all. I’m definitely a peach fan, but I was very underwhelmed by this scent.

Hey Chris, thanks for the great review. I know what you mean, when I opened the tub to smell it, I found myself wanting to poke my finger in to taste it, it's that good. Honestly, I have yet to own an A&E or Shave Shop soap that I don't like. Peter's scents are at the top of my list, his soap base pre-Kaizen and the current Kaizen base are both off the charts.

I like your point about bringing people in, Chris. I was brought in, inadvertantly by my dad when on holiday with him. He was sleeping off the drink of the night before and I went to town with his brush. That led me to Nick shaves, then to DE shaving and obsessively watching RU-vid wet shavers and enjoying shaving for the first time at 39 years of age.
