I love that since Noah Schnapp didn't get much screen time in season one, the writers were like 'okay, season 2 you get to FLEX, and flex HARD'. He absolutely nails every nanosecond.

Noah Schnapp (the actor who plays Will) was truly a star in this season. His fear, his pain, you can feel all of it and see it in his face. He constantly has to scream at things that aren’t there and be in tremendous amounts of pain when there is nothing actually hurting him and does so well that it looks real. He has a great future ahead of him.

To be fair... Hopper's not wrong tho. Eleven actually couldn't have a normal life at that point cause there were people who wanted her dead or to experiment on her. I can't side with El on this one, Hops took her in and made sure she was safe only for her to act like she was kidnapped or something and putting them both in danger just to see Mike.

Hopper is just scared that he is going to lose her too because of those people. So I feel for them both.

Mike is such a good best friend in this season. Whenever he can't be with Will, he's calling Joyce to make sure he's okay. And whenever he can be with Will, he's always right by his side. He was one of the few who didn't give up on Will during S1 and now that he has him back, he's not letting him slip away again. I feel so bad for Will though. He's getting possessed, manipulated and was burned alive from the inside multiple times. That has to feel so awful.

Hopper and El's fight was heartbreaking because Hopper was mostly right but El's thought process and emotions made SO much sense and were so real. On Hopper's end, he KNOWS El can take on the scientist-government(?) people, but he knows she shouldn't have to. Killing/hurting people like that (especially when you're young and your brain hasn't fully matured) can REALLY affect you. And then come the real world problems; once she beats those guys, what's next? She'd have to go BACK into hiding because then everybody would be after her, and she would be exposed to the world, not just the government-science guys. But on El's end, it HAS been forever since she's had contact with her friends, the only people before Hopper who treated her well and didn't literally abuse her. And then the feeling of being lied to when Hopper would say "soon". Then also just being cooped up inside that cabin must be Hell. El was ignorant to facts/logic, and Hopper was ignorant to El's feelings/needs.

Brenner (Papa) is not Eleven's biological father. When Terry started participating in the study she didn't know that she was pregnant. There was a book that was written about Terry, in the book it states that Eleven's father was a solider that was killed in Viet Nam.

Little cute fact(?) : I don't know if anyone said this to you already but Hopper has always a blue hair tie on his wrist, that was his daughter (Sara) hair tie, it's a very cute detail that they put there

They cast Noah at the age of 10, telling him what's down the lane for him, hoping for the best. And he killed it.

Dropping in to spread that Jonathan appreciation, especially because he has been getting a lot of unwarranted hate the past few seasons. Which makes no fucking sense, because he is consistently an amazing and loving brother, a great son and friend. Always willing to protect those he loves, and he is so gentle and kind. I love him so very much.

I wish I could get Stranger Things amnesia and watch this series as if I’ve never seen it……

Hopper is right. She's just a kid and it's dangerous for her to be outside because there are people who's looking for her. She is not invincible. And she shouldn't use her powers to hurt Hopper, THAT'S NOT RIGHT, she is like 12 y/o and we have to remember that he told her it would be dangerous for her and everyone she knows if someone finds her. She can't protect everyone.

This brings me back to those optimistic days, when I actually thought that the Duffer Brothers would allow Eleven to heal her mom given that her powers relate to the psyche. What a young fool I was. I was so confused when both Eleven and Will had an entire second season of trauma dished on them. I was like, can we balance this out? Or at least SPREAD this out? But they quite love to do a massive dump of trauma and then another on the same character.

my only problem with jonathan was obviously him taking pictures of nancy in s1 (and literally developing them in school later) and somehow people collectively decide to ignore it. other than that he has generally been shown as a nice person, caring brother etc. idk why did the writers feel the need to make him kind of a creep in season 1 tho 🫤
