I removed junk food,wheat,sugar ,high carb foods and went OMAD..(took a year to take control of these variables) to lose weight. Lost 30 lbs, 6 years ago, but a secondary surprise and unexpected result was I got rid of rosacea, small warts, eye floaters,thick ear wax, and tiny capillaries on my face. Food IS medicine.

You got rid of small warts?! Wow, i didn't know that could be done through diet too. So did they disappear on their own?

@dinapawlow1622 10 месяцев назад
@@ananyapanda._ yes, I always had small warts appearing,on their own, on my hands, feet, especially. Then ,like a year after changing my diet it suddenly hit me. I don’t see those warts anymore. What happened? I live in the same place, do the same things…must have been something that I have eliminated from diet. I am suspecting that , for me, personally, the high carb, high sugar, high omega 6 diet was affecting the micro biome of my skin.

I’m 65 years old and have been doing Keto/low carb for 3 years now. I have done everything this doctor (and others) have said was good, and stopped everything they said was bad. Only healthy fats, no processed “vegetable” oil, seed oils, Crisco… No processed foods… I had those little bumps on my legs that he said was from Vitamin A deficiency. I incorporated daily collagen into my diet, apple cider vinegar, fresh vegetables and lean meats, NO SUGAR!!! My skin did a 180 and is AMAZING! Soft, smooth, pliable, and glowing. I lost 50 lbs. and am down to a 32” waist. I am 6’ 0” and 180 lbs. and I feel fantastic. My blood work is fantastic, except my Total Cholesterol and my LDL. Don’t get me started on that Big Pharma scam! DON’T TAKE STATINS! My Triglycerides are super low and my HDL, the “good cholesterol” is so high it was “out of Range.” My wife and I are “intimate” three to four times a week and we are “feisty.” We are happier than we have been since we first met. I reversed my aging and nobody believes me when I tell them I’m 65. Do this, and do this now! Extend your life, while being healthy and happy to the end.

I'd say you're 65 years *_YOUNG_* and *_getting YOUNGER!_* WOO HOO!!!! My husband and I are on the same path; he's 59 and I'm 51. We both fast and eat super clean carnivorously. We're both at goal weight; I'm 5'2", 102 lbs, waist is 23" and he looks slim and trim to me...I think his new pants also said 32" like you. He's 6'2". We're also aging in reverse! And I've only been IF (with some longer 3-day ones) for 6 months! I'm never going back! My mom, too! In 6 months she's gone from 77 looking like she's going on 80 to 77 looking and feeling like 65 and she's effortlessly dropped 35 lbs! *Thanks for sharing your confirming and exciting story!*

Can you please tell me what you are using for collagen? Thank you for this inspiration!
@gordonwaite2
@gordonwaite2 11 месяцев назад
@@farmerandadeleacres2726 Vital Proteins, Collagen Peptides. I get up to 4 or 5 of them when it goes on sale at Costco. Do not buy the flavored version (chocolate) as it is more expensive per ounce. Add the unflavored collagen to your coffee or tea. Also if you use cream in your coffee, stop. When you use milk or cream in your coffee, you lose the benefit of the polyphenols that are natural in coffee as they bind to the dairy and go un-absorbed. I could go on and on about my health journey but I won’t. I am a military veteran, and former cop who took an early retirement from the force after 12 years and went back to college. I got a degree in nursing, where I got my first real education on nutrition. It took me 15 more years to delve deeply into nutrition. I can give you the names of the doctors who post on RU-vid that I swear by if you wish.
@victoriaboster1177
@victoriaboster1177 10 месяцев назад
No! “polyphenols” (which is a huge group of distinct phenols each with unique properties not one thing you can speak to generally) do not typically lose chemical traits or behaviors in the presence of dairy and do not alter pathways by binding.

SKIN is my CANARY in my COAL MINE. If I have inflammation iny skin (acne, eczema, rosacea, etc.), I probably have inflammation in other parts of my body (joints, orga me s, blood vessels, brain, etc.). Since it is not practice to measure Sed rate and CRP on a daily basis, monitoring skin reactions is very useful information. If my scalp starts itching after a meal, I know to ask myself what I ate, look at the ingredients if I can and try to figure out what my skin is reacting to. Conversely, noticing what I've eaten when my skin feels and looks good helps me understand what I should eat more of. Skin is a great tool to help us customize our meals to our current health state depending on the state of our gut health, level of insulin resistance and other toxin loads. PLEASE DO A VIDEO to help us understand the uses and limits of traditional "allergy testing" and it's usefulness in choosing healthy foods that won't cause inflammation. And when a doctor tells us that we're not allergic to the test items, please expand on why we still should not consume inflammation causing ingredients. THANK YOU.

Could you do an in depth (or have a guest who can) talk on acne? My 15 year old son has some mild acne, but his friends have completely clear skin because they all have taken Accutane. I really don't want him to take it but he is SO self conscious about it. His diet, while not perfect, is pretty good for a teen. He's a soccer player so he understands the importance of a healthy diet. The pressure from him to take Accutane is mounting, and as his mom, it is so hard to see how upset this makes him. The dermatologist gave him topical clindamycin, which I don't like, but seems safer than Accutane. He also uses a tretinoin cream 3 times a week.

@logwind - sometimes we don't think about trapped energy in our bodies, this too is on the inside and reflects on the outside. I also had an issue but mine broke out everywhere on my body except my lower legs and my face, it would form like blister with no bubble and then the skin would peal off and it was painful and itchy, I dont know how I survived it. I used the same tactics as you, except I am vegan, still had to deep dive into my diet, resort to low acidic food, alkaline water, review my supplements, my soaps, shower water, review everything I touched, it was insane ! I did red light therapies, cold water plunges, I am also a meditation practitioner and practice hot (105 degrees) yoga daily which is like being a sweat lodge daily, it is very rewarding but did not help my skin issues. I am seeing an incredibly talented acupuncturist and they practice their medicine from the inside out, he is the only one that said he could help with Chinese herbs and acupuncture, the first 2 months were so intense because he worked on areas of my body that were holding trapped energy and he released it through dry needling and it hurts like a xx, once we got past all that my skin started to heal. Keep in mind, I had to stop the hot yoga to start the healing process, I continued with the diet change alkaline foods only based on Dr Sebi's alkaline program. I continue red light therapy/cryo and my regular workouts, all those are important aspects for my health and my skin healing. Meditation is 100% necessary for me to live on this planet, I hope you can heal your trauma, good luck.

Vitamin B 5 (high dose). Get rid of eggs and or dairy. Work on liver health (NAC/milk thistle). Increase protein so skin can heal (animal not that veggie garbage). Don’t forget to sleep! Pick a couple you haven’t looked into yet.

He is pressuring me to let him take Accutane but I really don't want him to. Compared to his peers, he eats very healthy but he's 15.

don't let him get it, It will damage his liver long term. Try using beef tallow and natural ingredients

If you can remove the cause of the acne, you won't have to take the risks of treating the acne. 53 years ago (age 13) , a dermatologist prescribed antibiotics for my acne and I took them every day for 8 years. I believe that damaged my gut lining and that led to depression at age 28 and chronic rheumatoid arthritis at age 30. At age 55 I used the Whole 30 elimination diet method to discover what foods were causing my inflammation. I discovered that wheat was causing my acne and rosacea and dairy was causing my eczema. Eliminating those two foods cleared up my skin and allowed me to take less powerful drugs for arthritis. And I have not had any brain fog or depression except when I was hospitalized 5 days for COVID. I am now 66 and still learning how to further reduce inflammation and improve health. I accept that I did the best I could with the information available in the 1970s and I am doing what I can with what we know now. I feel better than ever and accept responsibility for my aging body. I hope that I will have many, many years of improving health and enjoyment

@eileencarroll6418 thank you! It's so hard to tell a 15 year old this though...and he is actually pretty conscientious about nutrition. Not perfect but pretty good. I wonder if he would try giving up dairy for a couple of weeks. I worry about his calcium intake though, he's still growing and on the smaller side.

@@kristinisenberg4753 Canned sardines with their mushy bones have more bio-available calcium than milk. Lots of calcium in broccoli and other veg. Google foods with calcium and see what he likes. Meet him where he already is for best success. Do investigate the Whole 30 elimination method. If your son's guy lining is in good shape, wheat might not be the culprit and it might be something like sugar. Empowering him to discover how his body reacts might encourage him to have the best "buy-in".

How about skin tags? Can those be controlled with diet also?
@loretta6089
@loretta6089 11 месяцев назад
Absolutely!!!!!! Do a carnivore diet and they will go away. Actually carnivore will make all problems go away. I didn't have skin tags but had high blood pressure, arthritis, pre diabetic and overly rosy cheeks and all are gone after just 30 days carnivore 😃

Yes, after intermittent fasting for 30 days with cutting out gluten, sugar & on a vegan diet (1 meal/day), my skin tags on my neck have nearly all disappeared & my skin is better. I also feel more energetic & have less brain fog. All the stuff the Dr mentioned in this video is great!!

Amy, definitely can do intermittent fasting but do not do a vegan diet. Yvonne may feel really good right now because she cut a lot of bad foods pit but it won't last forever. She will start to have other negative issues. Veganism is not the answer long term

@@loretta6089 I wouldn’t make assumptions about other people! It’s best to share your own experiences rather than making judgements of other’s experiences!!! I’ve been on a vegan diet for more than 20 years, and know many people who have been vegan all their lives with minimal modern day illnesses.

A lot of it is genetics too.
@paolooo79
@paolooo79 11 месяцев назад
Of course it is. There's a genetic predisposition to eczema and psoriasis for example so it's all about 'deactivating' those genes by keeping your immune system from overreacting to everything which is what leaky gut does. As most of the immune system is located in the gut, you can see the connection there.

another video making dermatologists look bad lmao.. ain't no diet or stuff you say are gonna fix scars, blemishes, wrinkles or anything that genetic problems and natural aging issues will give you. for acne and inflammatory conditions sure, but are you seriously gonna give a teenage child a restrictive diet to prevent those for a life time? Nope.

My skin cleared up big time my psoriasis vanished… eat low carb Whole Foods & after some time u can slowly add low carb dessert to not be so restrictive… see what triggers & what doesn’t. Peoples brains work so much better while low carb.
