Strawberry Studios Stockport, Manchester Moment, I'm not in love, 10cc 

Another great video, I grew up in Stockport and remember a lot of the music recorded there. It was also great to meet you yesterday and chat with you in Sale

The site of the barbershop on the corner was where Joy Division posed for some iconic photos. About 50 yards down Waterloo Road, a passenger plane crashed in the 60s. I drive past here quite a lot.

In the 90s, when I was fitting kitchens all over the UK, the furniture would often be delivered to site by Paul Burgess, the drummer from 10cc. He's also worked with Jethro Tull, Camel, Magna Carta, the Icicle Works, and Gloria Gaynor. The last I heard, he was in a band called The Removal Men, who played in the Stockport area. The keyboard player/vocalist, Brendan Gore, was the owner of the transport company, and also delivered the kitchens.

I knew about Strawberry Studios, I had no idea where it was. Until one day I randomly came across it when in Stockport. I was genuinely so happy to see it

used to sit in the waterloo pub opposite the studios watching people come and go, those were the days

In the late 70s I used to supply the studio with mics, cables etc.

I've lived in Manchester all my life ( 64) but I've always preferred " next door" Stockport.10 CC were the like the Beatles of the 70s.without the hysteria.check out " sheet music"1974 album for starters.
