I finished the game with 41 seconds left (2 hours achievement), no kidding! Even though I had written up a bit on the stuff I was going through in a note, I still managed to forget a bunch of things, but didn't die until I got to the jail part. Worst part in the entire game was when I died more than once, but also forgetting how to open the 3rd computer closest to the mainframe (it was in the top). Just amazing that someone could do this in 50 minutes, even with all those non skippable cut scenes! I checked the speedrunner site though, and on the 118th place there was a poor guy with 2 hours and 3 minutes xD! You won't find me there, since I am probably not even registered, but I'll guess I would have been the 118th place with 1 hour 59 minutes 19 seconds. I am just happy I did it. It was my 2nd run through the game ever, and besides going back to do the achievements in different chapters, I had not done any of the games more than one time before.
Congratulations for the achievement! We often see a bit of confusion regarding the timing in Stray and for the 2 hours speedrun challenge. The time that counts for that success is the time displayed on the savefile. It is different from real time because it excludes time spent watching certain cutscenes and time lost to deaths and retries. This timing method isn't suited for speedruns, that's why we have our own way of tracking time. We use either "real time" or "real time without loads" whenever possible. (the later is better to rank runners even if it doesn't quite match the real length of a run) If we look at the runner you cited, their 2h3min speedrun is the real time it took, but on their savefile it shows they still had 4 minutes spare so they also got the achievement.
@@Anemion I see. Would a person that spent more than 2 hours on the game even be allowed to be on the speedrun board? I still think I would have been on the 118th place though :P! Thanks!
