I love when AAA games allow you to create monstrosities without the need for mods. Capcom understands that players want to play as cryptids and I genuinely appreciate that they provided people the tools to do so.
Its easier to leave a function to create whatever you want rather than Limiting what you can make to look like a human. Basically its easier to develop.
@@LuzuVlogsGamerwell realistically the reason they limit stuff in games is to avoid possible copyright infringement, Dream on the PlayStation got in trouble with people recreating Mario 64 n shit in it
Yes and on top of it you can bring your abomination and fight other players with it in the hub and the size of your character affects your hurtox and hitboxes of your attacks lol.
As a long time fighting game player I'm happy someone like Moist is showing this game some love. Anyone can just hop on and start doing cool shit without having to grind for a million hours. That's awesome.
@@rundown132 generally because you don't want the game's soul to be diluted so that the target audience is bigger. I don't know if that's the case here though
@@CorelUser In the case of sf6? It most definitely isn't. It lets casual players hop on and enjoy themselves without compromising the sweaty stuff for legacy players like myself. Modern and dynamic controls simplify inputs so that new players don't have to jump through a million execution hoops just to get started. I think it's a great way to entice new and old casual players to eventually delve into the tougher aspects if they enjoy the basic elements of street fighter.

The characters are so expressive in their movements and attacks, really compelling work by the artists (character, 3d, texture, sound, vfx, environmental, and more)
I swear every time a game releases a character creator, players will find ways to make the most inhuman, fucked up proportions for their character imaginable, and I'm all for it.
It's funny the first few times, after awhile I just get tired of seeing clown people in- game, it's very distracting lol, but I'm a person who is a perfectionist with character creation so 🤷♂️
I am loving how many people who dont usually play fighting games having fun with Sf6, the game is doing such a great job getting people to see the fun in the game
Honestly I haven't played any fighting games since Injustice 2 (not counting Smash Bros), but I've always loved the colorful world and character designs of Street Fighter. This video is actually making me want to try it, though I have a terrible history with Street Fighter controls (hence why I played Netherrealm games)
@@grimmashley8422 its basically simple inputs. It has a small damage penalty and you can't use every one of your character's normals, but you get access to 1 button specials and some autocombo options. Great way to get into the game.
Glad to see Charlie really enjoying this. And despite all of the naysayers, this is EXACTLY why modern control scheme is such a brilliant addition to the game
I was just explaining this. Seeing Charlie having fun and being able to do so many moves as a new player changed my mind about modern. Most people just hop around punching and kicking, get bored and move on, Modern changes that.
@@FGTutorials I'm not really into fighting games and learning pages of controls to know some decent combos with one character isn't really my cup of tea so yeah, I'm glad that is become more accessible 😅

During the quarantine I discovered the magic of the Fighting Games, even more with the existence of fightcade and learning how complex but entertaining these types of games are I am quite happy that SF6 is attracting many more players with its new playable implementations and that this can positively affect the fact that these games stop being something "niche" and be more appreciated in a general way.
I like the paint effects in this. You do something flashy and there's a colorful background, then then the moment is over and the background falls to the ground as paint. Gives me the same vibes as gore in other fighting games.
@@gaminglakitu Mortal Kombat is the only fighting game I can think of that doesn't have some super flashy style even Tekken has the hit effect which are smaller but still there

No offense to their games I've heard their all great, but I just haven't been able to super get into one yet and yet when people say that "They don't want to get into fighters because they're too complex and hard," they also somehow know everything about MK and its lore and stuff. I hope SF6 can get more people into other fighters and can even help to expand the FGC as a whole compared to MK and Injustice mainly just trying to carter to casuals who simply just wanna see gore and popular character while smashing buttons
I'm so glad SF6 decided to include so many great modes and features to get new people into fighting games. Hopefully if makes the audience for fighters expand ten-fold, and Charlie's expert gamer skills will help lead the way

Seeing you play so smooth with Zangief I tested him myself. Damn he is fun to play. And I guess its a good thing with the modern controls, so more gamers can get involved in that genre.
He’s so much fun in the 3D street fighter games, super easy to use as well! I remember beating street fighter 4 trophy edition on max difficulty with ease! I usually get my ass kicked when I play as different characters
@@irondude220 It's just hilarious because grapplers are such a polarizing archetype and I swear you just ARE or AREN'T a grappler main, it's like in your DNA or something. I guess it also helps that Modern Controls free casual players from having to fret about basic combos so much.
@@dorkasaurus_rex to be fair he's using modern control Gief which has a completely different play style compared to classic gief. The entire time I watched this video the only thing I could think was HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS when Charlie hit like 3 command grabs in a row FINALLY SOMEONE COUNTERED THE COMMAND GRAB THANK YOU MANON

@@ReizokoRyu Do you know that to perform special attacks you had to press like a motion of arrow button very quickly to use them? Now you have to press one button, thanks to that you can make somewhat harder combos without learning the full motion. I honestly love how accessible this game is to those who haven't played fighting games like I have. Modern controls were thought to be broken but there are disadvantages to them. They're pretty balanced. It's basically the choice between controlling what types of attacks you can throw out, but you have to focus on execution, versus having set actions you can do easily, but you have no control over which kinds of them you can do, letting you focus on counters and punishes but mix-ups can be harder to do. I'm a classic control guy myself since I like the control over my moves, and it's just what I'm used to, but I don't think that modern controls are cheating like many fighting game players suggest they are. I definitely am enjoying myself in SF6 so far, that's for sure!
Can imagine the turbo nerds writing essays on r/StreetFighter on how this is bad but usual reddit am i right? but i'm glad and hope Tekken 8 aids new players to if a new Soul calibur drops and if a fighting game series long forgotten maybe comes back. Yea the Modern and classic controls have been around a while Ultimate marvel Vs Capcom 3 had them one button supers and it all think other games too but can't knock those getting into SF the presentation on SF6 is pretty cool.
@@M4TTYN This is such an unnecessary and unfair assumption. Majority of the sf subreddit is psyched at how many people are getting into the game. This game, with the help of Charlie, set out to what it wanted to do. Got someone like me, who has never played a fighting game in their life, to play one. And I'm having a helluva time with it.
Amazing, have a ball try many characters, do some trials even. and there's many layers to fighting games the mental game, or saying screw it and going unga bunga!
In the main FGC, modern controls are controversial and I wont lie when I saw that it was announced I was concerned and worried but honestly, seeing people who stayed away from SF due to the controls hop on and have a blast is honestly worth it. Absolutely amazing game, not just a FIGHTING game but just an amazing all around package. After years of dealing with SFV and MvCI, it warms my heart seeing this franchise explode again.
I feel like they did a good job striking a balance between the two control types, making it so one isn't necessarily dominant over the other, while giving people who aren't used to SF a way to more easily get into the actual meat of fighting games, that being the realm of mind games and sick reads. Charlie's definitely an example, you can see he's having a great time especially when you see him get a good read on someone.
What takes has FGC twitter been saying i can imagine. but, we all start someone doing 1 button specials can soon lab enough to be the desk jr. lab monster. The days of SFV are behind us finally!
I feel like people playing with modern control are going to get dunked on by more experienced player anyway so it's not a big deal. It makes it way more accessible to newcomers, like me. I don't give a damn about being a grand master at the game I just want to have fun without putting in 500hours just to get the muscle memory to do all that. If I never get in the platinum league that's fine I don't care.
Who stayed away from SF because of the controls? Quarter circle inputs are some of the easiest in gaming but I guess it's to much to ask of people these days. No one wants to learn even the simplest things so let's just make it easier for them. I don't see this as a good thing. It's like participation trophies for kids.
Yeah modern control scheme will do that. He couldnt do giefs grabs without it, but its nice to see capcom give not so skilled player a chance. Even if theyll still get bopped by even a low level vet of sf.
No one using modern controls is good sorry. An 8 year old could play just as good with gief on modern. Charlie even admits he's using it cause he's not skilled enough for classic. (No shade at Charlie)
@@doomergoythehammer3020 "no one using modern controls is good sorry" then why there were pro players legitimately considering modern as an option? Even if you took out World Tour Mode the Battle Hub and Fighting Ground alone are so damn good that it could have stood by itself but World Tour just propels this thing to huge heights. One of the best fighting games I've ever played and I can't wait for all the dlc characters to be added since they're also getting added to World Tour mode as well
Yes I'm genuinely impressed, I thought World Tour would be a Krypt thing like in mortal kombat, you spend an hour max in it and never go back. But no, it lets you see the world of Final Fight/Street Fighter while fighting multiple people at once, play mini games and dress your character the way you want. The modern control demo didn't make me think it would be worth my time. Glad I was wrong, you can play characters with multiple skills coming from the cast, even the supers. Like Ryu having Chun li lvl 1 super, Dee Jay level 2 super and Cammy level 3, how awesome is that?
Id argue opposite. Everyone I know, including me, who doesn't like or play fighting games, only got this because of the rpg aspect and weird final fight mix of the world tour and, of course, customization. The modern controls actually make me attempt pvp.
@@blazenfate I understand but for long time fighting game fans, modern controls are unfair. I would have been totally fine if there were 2 seperate ranked "leagues", one for modern and one for classic. And when you're used to classic controls, there's no way to play it like smash bros, plus you lose control over your character by not having all kicks and punches available at all times. I could use it too, but I would get bored pretty quickly doing the same stuff over and over again.
@@nyrva2876 This sounds more like a skill issue than anything tbh. Below Plat modern users are going to have perfectly exploitable habits, and after that you're probably good enough at the game to where a controller scheme isn't making a difference
