Everyone talking about Blanka this and that, but not a single person is commenting on the fact Mena abused the shit out of Kakeru's constant trigger happy on the parry button, he does that every time he plays, he loves that parry button and Mena ripped him apart with throw loops.
@@VampiricNoir Blanka was A-tier before this tournament, but Japan's going to come back placing him at the top spot. It's the best way to get Capcom to bring in the nerfs.

I'm a Frenchie who learnt to speak English, more than the quality of the fights, the comments are the reason why I enjoy watching tournaments like this. You guys are amazing 🙏🏿
No, he was always a parry happy player, Mena simply abused Kakeru's constante abuse of parry mechanics, that's how Kakeru won his tournament, by perfect parrying, what counters parry? Throws.
@@Nobody-su9km Bruh, I know that, but he isn't getting punished countered on all those throws. kakeru either blocks or parries. He could have thrown a delay-tech or two in there after getting throw-looped for 4 rounds straight and not shimmied once. Reminds of Punk's LCQ match against Daigo where he says he had noticed that Daigo loves to establish throws loops with Ken and so he bet on throw for the first 3 rounds. Daigo didn't update for aaaages.
@@Forever_Scrub yes he is lmao. He is literally either getting hard knocked down or countered on 90% of The throws and you can see his character getting blue on more than half of them.
MenaRD might be the most dominant player in any era of street fighter ever given the level of competition and natural evolution the FGC has gone through. He is so clearly a level or two above every other player, despite the FGC being more loaded with top tier talent than ever before. This is impressive and MenaRD and the Dominican Republic have an all-time great player and ambassador on their hands. What a guy. Congrats MenaRD! Keep that same energy throughout all your life. Sharing passion and love and your talent with the world.
I would love to see a fight between Mena and Infiltration. In my opinion, Infiltration is a different kind of player from everybody else, but we will never know the result...
I'm waiting to see how he does after they nerf the shit out of blanka XD Not saying he's not a great player, but when a commentator says 'Nobody has the answer to Mena', what they actually mean is nobody has the answer to Mena's Blanka.
I love Yipes' commentary. "What are they sayin'? They're like yup, there goes MenaRD kickin' our ass once again. We really gotta take it back to the lab and really figure this man out because Jesus Christ."
2 times Capcom Cup champ....Red Kumite 2024 Champ....SFL US champ.....SFL World Champ.....and now EVO CHAMP...............ARE WE STILL question who is the modern GOAT of Street Fighter? NAHH MENARD is that DUDE.
@@PhenomLight Evo Japan is an Official evo. He is an evo champ according to the records LOL Until Daigo or Tokido win a capcom cup, they can not be considered Goats
Loved that Ryukichi vs Mena set. I play Ken and Luke is normally so boring to watch for me, so I admit I’m biased on which character I preferred but watching Mena play Luke is a joy to watch
Mena made Japan looks so free. But i wonder if Akuma and season 2 balance will affect his Luke/Blanka performance. I got the feeling Capcom gonna nerfed Luke and Blanka.
