I'm super disappointed that they didn't keep this music for the full release - it was just a placeholder in the beta. It sucks, because the music from EX2 Plus is WAY better than what they have in FEXL.

I’m sorry, but this is not big beat. Big Beat takes inspiration from genres more along the lines of hip hop, house, electronic, dance, etc. It also uses drum samples from the 70s and 80s (the funky kind) and distorts the living heck out of them.

Kinda wish Arika & Capcom join together & make Street Fighter EX 4 instead of Capcom butchering Marvel vs Capcom games. EX Layers will have to be Street Fighter EX 4 without Street fighter characters of course BUT! At least they added Terry Bogar from Fatal Fury/KOF in it so that's something lol I'm just glad there's ppl that know who is Arika (the company)

A certain pirated version of EX2 (containing 3 games in 1 disc) has this track playing in the training mode. Later on, after playing the normal pirated version of EX2, the actual track that plays during training mode felt out of place for me... 😅

@@swordlunge Wow! I found someone who also that exact type of 3 in 1 Street Fighter collection. I agree with you. This is very much a training mode track. The disc also contained Alpha 3 and EX Plus Alpha. EPA had some of its music replaced with Alpha 3 music. Its endings were also removed. Only Alpha 3 was left totally intact.

SFEX composers are on another level. This game series soundtrack is known to be one of the best out of all video game music out there. And that is a major feat, considering how much heart & soul video game music composers put into their work.

Oh Sharon as well, Ken it sounds a bit like his SFEX1 theme and Zangief because it sort of sounds like his SF2 theme

It's a STAGE theme. Street Fighter EX 2 doesn't have character specific themes, aside from Amusementive Crime 1 and 2, which are for Skullomania and Shadow Geist respectively.

I agree. All 3 games came out close to the same time too. X4 and Megaman 8 both came out in '97 and EX2 came out in '98.

Actually, this music is inspired by 90's Japanese Jazz fusion genre. Listen to a band called T-Square, some of their songs are pretty much like this!
