I love the Street Fighter II soundtrack in general, but yeah, Chunner's theme was never one of my favorites (except for the Alpha 2 version). This is much more to my liking.
No doubt about it - this is the best Chun-Li theme, period! No other theme comes close! In fact, this is one of my top themes in the entire Street Fighter franchise!
@@marcelmchardy920 i ve just heard them now. They re very good, solos, Zeku pretty remarkable. But i think, looking as a whole work, sfex is the best, only 2 themes are kind of meh, Akuma and Zangief ones. The rest are all classics, wow.
Street Fighter EX+ Alpha had / has one of THE best Street Fighter soundtracks. F**k what Street Fighter II bitches want to say. I love the Street Fighter II soundtrack. But EX+ took the arrangements to a whole 'nother level and brought some of the best original character themes to the table since Street Fighter II.
DJCandyManMike They werent great but they werent bad either. I enjoyed playing EX quite alot. I actually perferred playing it. I want those triple jump kicks Ken does to come back too dammit.
One of my favorite Chun Li themes!! Heck even at the part 1:37 before it goes into the little minor solo. Sounds SO GOOD!! Plus it got that 80s vibe to it.
You both make fair points. I’d say it’s takes from both eras. The guitars and some of the synths give it 90s where the rest of the synths and drums give it 80s
This might be the best designed character theme ever for a fighting game omg... is strong, is sexy, it is delicate... it fits Chun Li perfectly! Pure genius.
I’m with you to this day..... even when I was a kid and didn’t know how to properly analyze music.....I remember being in 7th grade playing this and it was those exact part that hit me in the feels lmao
This theme is sooo good. Def fits her personality and rush down playstyle. Her original theme rn is good too but it just feels like all it says is "Chinese kung fu girl"
SFex3 & SF3rdStrike were the best soundtracks in the whole SF franchise imo. They will always be my favorite soundtracks of all time. *Edit: EX2 was also a favorite, in fact I'd say the whole EX series together had the best music ever alongside SF3rdStrike.*
This music makes me realize that Chun-Li isn't a chinese policewoman anymore, but a anime superheroine capable of fighting supervillains from other planets among different superheroes. A fitting theme for the strongest woman in the world.
@@Bloodlyshiva *Hyakuretsu-Ken* (Kenshiro's Hundred Rending Fists) VS *Hyakuretsu-Kyaku* (Chun Li's Hundred Rending Legs). If both combatants were to use those skills against each other in a non-fatal fashion, it might be evenly matched. Or perhaps, if the stars align, a team-up of the ultimate killer combo of punches and kicks against a single target.
Ooof... I was jamming with ya and then you went and crapped on a legend, I'm going to have to stop you there. You see Street Fighter 2's themes are a masterpiece of world themes. They're songs transcending character and country and becoming part of the identity of the game itself. You can't listen to Guile's theme without knowing who he is, nor Chun-Li'a or Dhalsim. It is objectively a jewel in all of gaming. EX has more modern, exciting tracks, but even this song could have easily belonged to nearly anyone in the cast, and it belongs nowhere. It's good music, but it isn't the fine art that is SF2. Respect to Yoko Shimamura for giving the world its first gaming soundtrack in its honor.
Imagine how hype it would be when they do crossover with Arika in SF6 and this theme plays with Chun-Li. Since a lot has changed on Capcom side and most FG producers seem to favor on collaborating and helping each others, I guess it's might be possible now.
I need to play this again badly.EX3 was an underatted but a very enjoyable Street Fighter game.It has the style of Tekken 3 and that's a very good thing. The EX series needs to make a comeback soon and Street Fighter is one of the very fighting games in my eyes that have done well in both 2D and 3D.Same with the Mortal Kombat series as well.
This one is so good, I basically make a compilation of all nostalgic songs and just play them along while I spend thousands of hours in training stage in almighty USF4
One day I will become a famous public figure and I will go to the Capcom headquarters in China and hug everyone who works in this gaming company who made my childhood awesome and made the greatest times of my life.
Played Street Fighter EX 2 at Anime North last month. Was completely surprised when I saw that Chun Li had Gomen Ne as a command taunt. LP, LP, -> LK, HP: Gomen Ne!
Say what you want about the EX series of Street fighter, but the music is fire and has some of the best renditions of specific character themes Like Guile, Sagat and Chun, other themes are great but those are fire
This is by far my favorite Chun-Li theme it fits her well, It sounds like the credits music from a kick ass martial arts movie obviously set in modern day hong kong in the 90's lol just awesome all the way around. I hope when fighting EX layer hits in 2018 that capcom gives them the license for some street fighter character DLC.
One of my favorite themes in this game. I miss playing this game! I'm going to miss Capcom, it sucks that it's up for sale now. They had a good run and that company lasted for so many years too!
Can you believe i grew up with mk and sf 2 and never in my life heard this till now and thanks to Maximillion doods youtube channel the part i like is ten seconds, i like the whole theme but 30 seconds till 40 seconds gets me good. I'm weird like that. Those little parts in music is my drive passion addiction it hits my soul. And i never played this sf ex either missed out. I wish sony or xbox would put them up in their stores.
Ligtning Dog wow 3 months ago i posted that time flies, now that i remember i played this game once a long time ago only once crazy. I would replay it why not.
