The guy who re-arranged the music for Super Nintendo must've really liked Sagat. This arrangement is really lush, much longer than the arcade version, and includes a trumpet solo AND a guitar solo.
And Capcom themselves must’ve liked this version of Sagat's theme since the CPS2 version of his theme is based off of his SNES theme except the pitch is different.
@@DEUCE2CONI’ve always liked this version of Sagat’s theme and Capcom clearly did too which is why the used this version as the basis for SSFII with slightly different instruments.
It may please you to know that the SNES version music (for vanilla SFII) was done by the original arcade composers: Yoko Shimomura and Isao Abe. You couldn't ask for it to have been in better hands.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 yea bro IDK what it was about the snes versions. But I like nearly every theme in the SNES version. Ryu, Ken, Guile, Balrog, Bison, shit even Blanka and Honda, all their SNES themes are absolutely GOATed. No one can tell me for example that Bisons theme on SNES, ain't the greatest version of all time. No one can convince me otherwise.
Bison is difficult as hell with Guile, though... Oddly, I always breeze right through Sagat and Vega with Honda, Zangief, and Guile, but get my ass kicked by Bison. But with Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li, I destroy Bison like it's nothing.
VEGA was a joke and very predictable, SAGAT on the other hand, was relentless and would almost everytime counter dashing moves(dragonpunch, blanka spinball, even BISON psycho-crusher.) SAGAT was the boss in SF1 after all.
Old comment... but hey... lol! Well guys, you're right. Vega was hard to someone new which we all were especially when we were kids at the local pizza place and we encountered Vega and he was jumping all over and we were just overwhelmed. As we all got better and we got the home port, yes, Sagat was and is the best and the toughest boss in the whole game. His long reach and unrelenting counters as said before are second to none. Bison was fast as bad4ever2001 said but Sagat was just too much.
This certainly has that feel of "You've come a long way and it's almost the end of the journey." or a bit of sorta calm before the storm (M. Bison/Vega/Dictator)
Oh man. Walk down memory lane to this song. One of my fav characters and reason i broke so many consoles and controllers. Lol. Anger management was really real when i was a kid and it came to these games. Between him and a few characters from Killer Instinct. Sagats character was simply hands down the most B.A. character until they got Akuma into the mix more. His character over all developed. Like if u beat Ryu with him he was more calm and switched good. Good sportsmanship.
This is just the instrumental..it is missing the lyrics.. Lyrics: Tiger! Tiger! Tiger Uppercut! Tiger! Tiger! Tiger! Tiger Uppercut! Tiger! Tiger! Tiger! Tiger Uppercut! You lose! Hu-Hu-Ha-Ha..haha Repeat*
I played the first street fighter in the arcade, it sucked but was kinda cool. Largely forgettable. I am talking Street Fighter When II was added, it changed EVERYTHING. I still remember it was months before I could find a open machine. Chun Li is who I beat the game with. Spend a good amount of time with a open machine and was able to learn the game. The day you tuned on your SNES you could not believe you had SFII at home. Now you can practice when you go to the Arcade and play Championship edition. It was something special to see a Arcade port of a game match (really close) the original. The music got upgraded. Strider, Final Fight and UN Squadron where the only others (at the time) that got great ports. All Capcom.

No one says anything about this but i really prefer the aesthetics sagat had in sf2 over his other “more beefy” iterations. Before he looked like a lean killing machine now he looks like a dude that blasted too much TRT. Urien also had a more versatile looking physique that was similar to this.
