If I get a really cold Leo I drink it without ice. I am so cheap I usually buy a box (not in restaurent) and then put ice in a jugg with beer and drink from glasses ice free "and not watered down"..;-)

I really thought I found the best street food in Bangkok when I travelled there (Yaowarat, Ratchawat Market and Chatuchak Market were some of my favourites) but this video showed that I barely scratched the surface! Man I can’t wait to visit Bangkok again 😍

My wife and I discovered this place 6 or so years ago when it still looked like an abandoned garage. We ate there 2-3x a week. Absolutely love it. We land in BKK next Friday night and its what's for dinner.

My wife and I will be in Bangkok in November. A seafood feast appears likely in our future. And ice in beer in SEAsia is a must and not only because of the heat. I learned to cherish it in Laos where hospitality is so charming--and aggressive--that the only way to hope to survive a night of 'sok dees!' is to dilute & hydrate. It's a bit of a lost cause but it does go a long way to increasing your chances of being present and correct the following evening. Thank you and cheers!

Chris - I always drink my beer w/Ice in Thailand! It can get pretty hot here in Florida so Ive begun to indulge in a variation on the theme. I make large clear ice cubes for use w/some brown liquor (every now and then)....I put one of those large cubes in a large dual walled glass like a Yeti or other. The insulated glass and Ice keeps the beer super cold and I'll typically get about 3 beers off 1 cube. So, very little dilution. Definitely a pro tip!

What a great place, we'll be in Bangkok next week so will definitely pay it a visit, my wife and I were salivating as we watched! Ice in beer? For sure! For me it's a must! Love a Leo with ice, it's the only way to go! My favourite seafood would be sea bass fried with 3 sauces. Plaa kompong tod sumlot.

Dear C&H:When y'all order cockle,i would suggest not to be grilled but boiled which is better.Have y'all tried fresh oysters with its herbs including fried shredded garlic and katin ?Grilled samlee wrapped in the foil is great.

We had seafood dinner there a month ago and it was jammin! The only thing that disappointed me was the crazy price they wanted for a lobster, which was about US$70, which was crazy expensive for a medium sized rock lobster. But everything else was awesome and it’s such a holdover that it’s got to be supported. We’re back again in October to live, so definitely back again for another Friday night seafood fest!

No local is paying $70 us for anything the problem is people see something cheap cuz they're on vacation they drive up the prices. Pro-tip I literally just hire a local tour guide who does everything for me the amount of money it saves me just paying the local prices pays them to take me out to places

This is a great spot! We'll hit it 2-3 times a week when in Bangkok. It was nice to find the 'improvements' we we "finally" got back to Bangkok earlier this year. Their chili clams are great!

I only use fresh charcoal. It’s the only way to grill. All the fresh seafood looks amazing‼️One thing I look for are clean places to eat. It has to look and smell clean. I used to tolerate dirty places in Thailand because I thought that’s just the way it is. But by putting more effort I can find a more hygienic restaurant.

it depends how fast you drink. It's not a requirement unless they really serve it unchilled, but also if they serve it cold and you're just sipping and eating it's going to really get unpleasant haha I live in Manila and I rarely have to put the ice in it. There's also this thing called Sub 0 or absolte 0 where they serve the beer frozen haha and you have to wait for it to thaw out...that was tedious haha

Ice in beer is great. As a Canadian I would lick up spilled beer in the snow bank or on the rink so whats the difference? lol Thanks for the content Chris. I was there a month ago. Mouth is watering. Soi 11/1 has a great restaurant on the corner just up the road. (big wooden tables on the sidewalk)

Ice in beer: learned the necessity of said sacrilege in The Philippines. Later learned to ask for a bowl of ice to keep my mug in. It's all light lager, so no real harm.... I'd go for the grilled fish since I'm allergic to shellfish!
