In this Chinese New Year Special episode, we head to Hong Kong street market Tai Yuen Street in Wan Chai to see what decorations and other goods are available to buy around Chinese New Year. Along the way, we learn about the meanings behind the different symbols of Chinese New Year and some of the common practices associated with this most important of Hong Kong holidays.

Congratulations Sam, you are now one of the REAL locals in Hong Kong 👍👍😜I am sure you are now more 'local' than some of the residents living in Hong Kong who never go outside of their district. I am so glad that you have such a positive spirit cheering up the people in HK who have been locked up and RESTRICTED with tight policies due to the severe pandemic crisis. All in all, you showed us how to prepare and enjoy this LARGEST festival of these Chinese customs and traditions. Great one Sam !! ♥️👍😜

When I was a child, I only received $1-$2 inside the red envelopes just enough for cheap snack. I just give my best regards to all my family, relatives, friends, & peers last night in HK for this Lunar New Year and two of my most important four words blessing are "shen tai kin hong-in good health" especially during this COVID time in our world and "sum sheung si shing-may your wish come true" and those are my blessings to you too Sam.
