He made a video on youtube and pointed the finger at the person who protested him, thinking his fans will go and tell jeff lutz off but it backfired on him, alot of his fans said dont blame jeff blame yourself. His done this before this wasnt his first time. He only got caught because he posted a video and all the other times he didnt make a video.
If I’m not mistaken wasn’t Howe complaining several times about others’ engine/engine combos not being ‘fair’…maybe that dynamic rippled through the pits/teams and is part of the reason for the protest???
Howe was stupid for posting his test thinking nobody would care. There's big $$ on the line and he left himself open to being disqualified. He knows the rules and the potential for the consequences if somebody calls you on it. It's happened before.
Rules are rules, and Jim Howe is the one who protests the most in NPK. And yes, he ran a good number on track that was prep, and I'm repeating what his wife said, but he is not the only one who can run the same with a screw blower and Procharger running close, and clearly the rules are in favor of the 6% that he cries so much for.

@@deejaytee6539 Jim Howe protested the Procharger combo this year when they started winning, and everyone knows that the rules in NPK are in favor of the 6% over advantage that the screw blower has, and he also fooled everyone this year with the AMC engine having a wedge head, which is the same Hemi head he is using now.

Even at the mega cashday he cried about the decision boosted made, it wasnt even his race it was disco dean vs axman.

That is a dumb rule they should really scrap it, the chassis and car panels arent from 1979. Next year if they keep that rule you will see more 68,69 camaro, nova and chevy 2 nova. Larry larson is biulding a chevy 2 nova now and is almost done, then scott taylor said next year his going to biuld a 67 or 68 camaro
Your opinion that others didn't want him in the race because he's fast is absolutely ridiculous they are all fast. Jim has been in one controversy or another all year long. He just protested all the procharger cars two weeks ago.

Mike Murillo was famous for it So is others that are still in NPK they ran at Colonial Beach Dragway 2 nights prior to running VMP 2021 which was only about 80 miles apart
For this rule, does it apply for the driver or car? Being you could test a non NPK car or have someone else drive. With in the 200 mile radius. Someone should expose that gray area. I'm so confused that you can't have a private rental, with in 200miles. Also, does this go for if you races with in 200miles at a separate event?
SEVERAL racers brought illegal testing up to NPK authorities....Lutz was only one to be open & upfront about it. It's been enforced before & the right thing to do. That being said, I don't believe Howe was trying to circumvent the rules & or that he needed to be totally banned. There were other options. Curious if Jim's protests in the past played a role possibly?
No he shouldn't get to race for the 30k! That wouldn't be fair to the ones following the rules! Although you say others has broken this same rule in the past and got away with it dont make it ok for him to do it! Whoever else broke that rule should have been protested as well. Jim would have did the same as Jeff. Jim is on the rule committee and knew better.
Are you joking? You obviously don't understand how much more a car can be dialed in with a full day or 2 of testing compared to 2 test passes on Friday night. That's basically to just dial in the tune up compared to testing all day you can change everything on the car...
@thetren_station9740 Do YOU even understand? It's a different track, different track conditions, different air, different elevation, different temperature, ect... I have raced for years and can tell you just switching lanes makes a huge difference. Just look at most races this year . There's been a favored lane at almost every track so far.
Fair play, but he held his hands up. You can't expect to protest other drivers constantly and not expect repercussions. He knew the rules, took the risk and it bit him in the ass big time.
Get off Howe’s nuts. He broke the rules so he got disqualified. If he was smart he wouldn’t have posted where he was testing. He wanted to flex his fast pass instead of keeping it quiet.
I thank Lutz is a putz Was scared to race with Jim this weekend.Because how fast jim was if jim wouldn't have shown his time he would have been racing this weekend But I don't like that rule Now , if you are racing on the same Track ok I get that but 165miles away It's totally different than the track. Yall'll be racing on every surface is different.

You should have “lost all respect” for Howe not Lutz. He knew the rule and CHOSE to ignore it (I don’t buy his lame excuse). At the track he got on the mic and told everybody he didn’t hold anything against Lutz. Then he goes in social media and starts calling Lutz a putz. I have lost all respect for Howe.
