At 7:15 instead of taking the stairs, if you continued on the same way; there are 2 places worth visiting. The first place is the Sidi Abderrahmane mausoleum built during the Ottoman presence in Algiers and located about 500m from there. The second place is the garden of Prague (ex. Marengo) which was built during early years of the French colonialism, is located few hundred meters down from the mausoleum.
@@minabetty6477 The Algerians asked the Ottoman Empire for help from the Spanish invasions and attacks . The Spanish took and colonized Oran for decades actually . The Algerians asked to join the Ottoman Empire who helped build a very strong Algerian navy and fortified the protective walls around Algiers to push back attacks . The kingdom of Algiers ( that was the name of Algeria at that time ) was part of the Ottoman Empire but was independent and carried its business and trade and relations with other countries independently , their treaties and documents were signed by the kingdom of Algiers , the seal on all documents prove that . You ought to look it up . If you need resources , let me know I will be glad to provide you with reliable official resources . 😉🙋♀️🇩🇿
Thank you, we had a great time. Yes, the voices weren't optimally recorded. We're not professional video makers or promoters like you see everywhere else. We're simple folks with low grade equipment. In the future inchallah, we will come back with better cameras and recording devices.

I was just there from 15th July to 28th July. My wife lives in algiers. We are now living in New Jersey in USA. Where are you guys from and why did you visit Algiers? Just curious.
@@drewprof what was the reason you guys visited there? I was there because my wife hasn't been back in 5 years. So we went together. It was a great trip. Fun. And where did you guys stay? And how was it?
@@nckcastello We rented an apartment through airbnb right next to Place Audin. We visited Algeria like many other countries we do every year. Besides we have homes in nearby Spain and Italy. We're not that far.
In the city of Constantine in tiddis, you will know the story of this great man from Algeria "quintus lollius urbicus " who conquered Great Britain and Germany in the year 130 BC.
@foxhill1081, you have proven, with your constant trolling, that you have issues. You don't speak for us! Just to make you more miserable, let me restate: we will be back in Algeria to be with its wonderful people and to enjoy all of the great venues it has to offer. May I suggest you go on vacation, it might do you some good and get you out of your negativity.
@@ilyasdz8904 You make a good point but it should be all over Algeria as well. The effort of cleaning and updating infrastructure should be a wider project with impact on the internal culture to strive for excellence. At this stage, Algeria is experiencing and identity crisis while resources are limited due to its population growth. This will eventually settle and things will get better. I have hope.
YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT ITS DIRTY EVERYWHERE - I WILL NEVER ADVISE PEOPLE TO VISIT THERES EVEN DEAD CATS IN THE STEPS OF THE CASBAH. THE CASBAH ITSELF IS SO HORRIBLE IT SHOULD BE CLOSED TO TOURISTS
Sadly you're right. Many streets were unkempt and so were beaches, forests and even roads. Such a beautiful country that is polluted and has a trash management problem. I hope it will eventually be corrected.
You are welcome in our countries you are welcome if you respect our religion as well as our laws and our traditions your habits that you have in the West leave them in the West apart from that welcome 🇲🇦🇩🇿🇹🇳🇵🇸
Morning, Let me guess, a friday tour, no way not crushing in Algiers otherwise. Do not hear from any traveling advice, feel free to explore around. Our place is not the best place, still u're welcome to a human minded place. Enjoy your trip.
We don't do this for money, we're not professional promoters like I have seen all over youtube. We're just a couple of old folks enjoying the moment and then sharing it as it is, raw and unedited. In other words, these videos are not about us, it's about the experience.

France learned many things when they occupied us because as you can see there are many buildings built by the Turkish and Algerians beforevthe arrival of the criminals French occupiers.
