I have used this to fit both D7’s and D4’s together with a soundbomb purchased from Steve. These supporting videos take a great deal of time in terms of footage and the editing. This is the reason I supported him by purchasing these items. Incidentally additional advice that I required sent by email was responded to promptly.

Just posted the following to Weiser Technik Having just bought a set of Front Weiser Wizards I have 4 comments: 1) They appear to work brilliantly - turning off the ridiculous front indicator lights that BMW have set to be permanently on! So they do what it says on the tin. I have just fitted these so have no idea re longevity but they worked well straight out of the box 2) However, they are absolutely NOT straight forward to fit to a GS Adventure. I removed 34 bolts to get all the plastics and the crash bars off, and used 17 zip ties to sort out and tidy up the wiring once fitted!! And the excellent video created by Carl at Just a Bike Thing for Weiser just covers the 1250 GS. I ended up using a Stip your 1250GSA on A Bike Thing, which was more helpful technically. 3) They are crazy expensive!! I get that quite a bit of engineering needed to be done, and that not many sets will probably be sold to offset this, but really? 4) And BMW should be reimbursing all of us for having to pay to sort out their mess!! How can front day running lights on a bike being amber make any sense or even be legal??

3:44 into the video you took the rear and front bolts out of the grab rail to demonstrate the differences and when you put them back in you put them back in reverse. Not sure if anyone else caught this but anyways another was that I do things is to remove the part ie: grab rail and insert bolts back into the correct holes. That ways there's no mistaking where they go, and when reinstalling the grab rail wow they are right there. No fuss no muss.

U r absolutely right. Lens out of focus so hoped no one would notice. It didn’t go back like that as I don’t think the long bolt will even fit in the back. It’s too long. Joys of multitasking. Watching the preview monitor to ensure it’s capturing everything as well as doing the work.

Steve, my US dealer installed the D4/Brake light/Sound Bomb/CanSmart set on my 1250 GSA last year when he had it apart for another issue. Since then I’ve been thinking about daisy chaining another CanSmart to add a GPS harness and radar detector harness since my other CanCmart circuits are full. After watching this I’m confident I could disassemble on my own, but wondering how far I need to disassemble to run these 2 harnesses that would terminate at the handlebar. While I’m at it, I’d also like to check the routing on the initial dealer install to see if it’s all tucked in properly. Do I really need to pull the tank aside or remove the 2 beak panels for this?

@rb0725 Год назад
David - freeze the video at 13:01 / 24:52 and look almost directly under his right thumb. You'll see that piece of rubber sits atop a small metal bracket to absorb downward pressure and act as a spacer. The adhesive is weak so I glued velcro to the rubber pieces and also to the bracket. Probably should have just glued them to the bracket but I had the velcro pieces close by.

Feels like a pub quiz question 🙋‍♂️ can you give me multiple choice? 😂. Are you referring to the black section that includes the air intake or the black section that surrounds the front edge of the tank? Because of the skilled engineering of the Germans, you still have to get the nose section off the bike so u can access all the relevant screws to remove the black panel that has the silver rad panel attached. Only 6 screws hold that black panel with the air intake on and 3 hold on the tank surround plus a plastic rivet, however you’ll need to remove in total 22 screws or 25 screws respectively depending on which panel u we’re referring to.
