It’s crazy how his relationship with content is so healthy. You see a lot of creatives always worried about others opinions but Cody just does what’s he thinks best for him.
I’ve watched Cody for a while and I can’t lie he’s definitely gotten FUNNIER to me imo 😭😭 like even without the editing Cody’s humor is just so immature yet shows his age at the same time and i love it 😂 the trinkets joke had me crying actual tears

I think Cody is in a happier, better place in his life so he punches up not down. I think people are used to him being more cynical, but he’s a husband and gonna be a dad someday soon in the future. He’s happy and his humor is more friendly. I think that’s why people think he’s changed. He’s in a good place in life
I actually LOVE the way Cody’s humor has evolved. When I watch the older videos I’m able to truly appreciate just how his humor and style has shifted over the years. I barely find his older stuff funny now tbh 😭 Probably because of the way my own sense of humor has shifted. I think whatever his humor has evolved it is exactly the kind I enjoy watching. There’s something so chill and authentic about his content recently. And I like how pumped and extreme it gets at random times. It’s a nice balance and energy. There will always be people who end up not enjoying the way in which you’ve changed and I think that’s fine too.
I love the way Cody handled this complaint from his fans. He showed that he cares but he’s still him and I think at its core we all watch him because he’s authentically Cody no matter what
please dont stop the button videos, they always help me chill and laugh after a stressful day. i've been going through a tough year and anytime Cody uploads a new button video it cheers me up even if its only for like 10 minutes it helps
It honestly made me feel happy- Not because I want to see less, but when people take the necessary breaks they need before they burn out, they spend more time in better health & thus more time creating fun stuff for us to watch!

@@yurilopes420 Well while I agree that he definitely comes across as someone who has it completely locked down, it’s pretty dangerous to decide that for him- We don’t see everything behind the scenes and that’s okay, we shouldn’t; However, my intention was to express personal support for creators taking breaks at their own convenience & not based on what the audience response to doing so would be.
I feel like as I get older and grow, Cody’s humor moves and grows with me and I know a ton of people feel the same way. May just be the similar age group but his content always hits even as it evolves and changes.
his videos did change and to the better, he’s said time and again for the past few months that he’s making more content that he likes and is proud of and it’s actually noticeable how much more he enjoys making videos, loving every part of it
I personally find that the editing enhances Cody’s humour. I totally understand that Zade and Cody have very different comedic styles and obviously different outlets for their comedy (Cody talks and uses body language in video form, Zade edits amazing clips, intros and memes into the videos) but I think that’s what makes it great. Cody’s usual dad humour and commentary is funny as ever, and Zade’s humour of almost taunting or teasing Cody through the editing is also hilarious. It’s a very playful back and forth between them, the little comments Cody makes directly to Zade just for Zade to do the opposite. I get it that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I just wanted to show both Cody and Zade some love for all the laughs they have provided me, and whooo boy do they provide

I don’t know if you’re being sarcastic or not but I actually agree, everything he says is really positive, and even the negative he brings with a joke or says something along the lines of “saw this coming” or “yeah I deserved that” etc. i really like his outlook on life and he inspires me to be grateful because to me he shows that he truly is for the life he’s earned

I'm a 30 year old single woman who has followed Cody since Vine. He's matured but is still so goofy and fun. I like that he's acknowledging comments that aren't outwardly positive and reacting maturely to them.

As an editor myself, Zade's work here is my biggest source of inspiration for my own stuff. I understand the style not working to everyone, but I think he absolutely does deserve the praise. Both Cody and Zade, keep up the great work!!!
Tbh I had the opposite experience with Cody's content. At first I didn't really vibe with his almost frat boy energy but as time has gone by I find his content and Kelsey's so endearing and funny, even if there's cringe humor or overly edited stuff, there's a fondness that has grown in me for both of them idk idk
Same, I would watch his vids every now and then and think they were okay, but now I find myself tuning in for all his uploads. His current sense of humor + Zade's editing slap imo. The editing has occasionally been a little too much for my tastes, but honestly he hits way more than he misses imo
The That's Cringe videos definitely had their time and hold a lot of nostalgia for me. I rewatch them all the time. It's a different kind of humor now but I can appreciate both. People change and their content should evolve to reflect that. I think that's what you and Noel have done with the podcasts. Maybe the Button videos aren't as witty as the That's Cringe ones but they are still classics that make me chuckle.
I think Cody has actually been more funny lately. You can't hide from the positive effects of working out on your mental and energy, as well as being in a beautiful relationship. Love him.
Not sure when it was, maybe a year ago, Cody was saying how he was kinda in a funk and didn't have much creativity and was burning out from RU-vid. I think he just stopped caring about the algorithm and growth and everything else that comes with growing his channel. There's also a very obvious correlation between his happiness and when he started training. Whatever it is, he's figured out that his fans fw him cause of him, not cause of whatever trend or content he's doing. He's happier, funnier, and IMO this is the best he's ever been. Nothing can ever beat That's Cringe, but he's an instant click and full watch through ... And look at his views/like ratio, they're the best I've seen on RU-vid by far.

How could you hate on this editing? It’s just so creative. Both of them have their own creative methods, and I honestly just love to see Cody evolve. It’s not like I have my own “type” or comedy that I enjoy, Cody just IS part of my comedy. No matter what he does, he’s just an infectiously humorous person.
I read this just as Cody was reading the Reddit comment trash talking Zade & I just find it hilarious how butthurt people get over compliments being given to someone that they don’t know and have absolutetly no affiliation with. I think Zade is incredibly talented as well so I’ve left some praise on a couple videos just to push the recognition & he dropped into the thread and even took the time to answer some questions; Which, in my mind, makes me even more glad to see people hyping him up. Genuine humility is really admirable, especially when you consider that dude on Reddit actively spent his time projecting some insecurity of his onto benign positive remarks; While, in contrast Zade browsed comments to thank people for expressing their sentiments because he wanted to, it’d be so much less time consuming for someone in that position to just acknowledge the positive feedback to themselves & move on. Anyway, that should fill my Zade glaze quota for the next few weeks here which is dope- I get a whole FIVE jolly ranchers every other week & one high five on the third friday of every month, so it’s a pretty sweet gig outside of all the weight I lose every week from malnourishment.

I can honestly say i enjoy cody’s content so much right now. I’ve always been a fan but I can definitely see the growth as he has gotten older. Past videos seemed to have a sprinkle of frat boy energy, where as now i feel like he is even more genuine in the content he produces, not saying he wasn’t in the past. I love how he motivates his fan base on top of his comedic genius. Also I think many agree the editing is sick, Zade is doing gods work in Cody’s basement
I’m thoroughly enjoying the videos, it feels like your stuff is more authentic and you’re making what YOU want to make, not catering it to what’s popular. Also, Zade is absolutely killing it, make sure to let him have some sunlight every once and a while he deserves it
Your videos are my comfort videos. Whenever I get back home after a long day and I see theres a video out I get so excited! My favorite nights are when I get to sit down with dinner and watch your new video-- it always makes me feel so happy and comforted. Sometimes I'll even save the video to watch later because if I watch it immediately I'm Cody Ko-less for the next week or so. I hope you know that there are so many of us here that absolutely love everything you put out and we can see that you're in such a positive and happy place!! It's very inspiring.

I LOVE the change that Cody has gone through just like everyone else is saying the editing is great and Cody still has the same humor as always he’s just more optimistic and light hearted which I think is a good breath of fresh air from the rest of RU-vid!

Cody does have a natural talent when it comes to composing music, especially this house genre. Like each track he played reminds me of “ we are your friends “ zac’s character. It instantly got me in the mood to just groove to it. Cody, please make more music. You are quite good at it.

Genuinely appreciate your honesty about how content metamorphosizes as creators do. RU-vidrs have to make videos that resonate with them first; inauthenticity is exhausting and viewers DEFINITELY notice. People grow and change, and there will be falloff no matter what. But, there will also be new audiences to reach and resonate with. :) Personally, my husband and I have loved your newer stuff. The differences between your acting in Simi Valley and that sketch were night and day. It's so clear that you've grown just in your overall skill levels and it's been a really cool development to watch over the years.
Yeah the weird but also cool thing about RU-vid is that the content is always changing. It's not like a TV show that can manufacture the same type of episodes year after year. When the content creator grows so does the content. I think that my humor has evolved in some of the same ways as my favorite content creators (like you and jacksepticeye) but not everyone can feel that way. Just keep pumping out what you think is best and someone will be there to enjoy it, whether its a new fan or an old one

Cody. Genuinely from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for helping me be a better person in my formative years. I've been watching your videos since middle school and I've always strived to have the bright spirit and good heart you have. During my sophomore year of hs I became incredibly depressed after the death of a friend and I used your videos to help me heal through that. I remember my head always being heavy during that time, but the pressure that had built on me instantly evaporated every time I laughed at a video of yours. Im a junior now, still struggling, but getting better little by little and I attribute a lot of that to you.

I was just gonna say that reddit's audience does not make a very good representation of the general audience (i used to frequent that god forsaken site myself) because the rest of us DO enjoy Cody's humor and Zade's top notch editing

I don't usually get many emotional reactions from videos when I watch them by myself, but Cody your videos never fail to make me laugh so hard. Also, I've also always loved exercising and with the stress of University I've found a lot of relief through it. Watching your training progress and everything else makes me really happy and I don't usually get that from RU-vid content so I want to say thank you Cody. You're a real one.
