Lol I was vaping when I first watched this. Quite the surprise but a welcome one. I always forget Homestarrunner sometimes had references to things like smoking and drinking so I guess it was just a matter of time.
I've been watching homestarrunner since I was 13 and now I'm married and have a baby at 32. I cannot believe this of all media has maintained its quality and relevance in my life for nearly 20 years!!
Same here my brotha! ('Cept I'm 29 and got 3 kids, but y'know.) Literally like 80% of my sense of humor comes from the Brothers Chaps in some form or another. And sometimes I'll go back and rewatch old toons, and catch jokes for the first time!

To be fair, we didn't see his crane in that one, and even then he created this one by accident because he made a mistake while making a diaper. We only saw his lotus and mantis.

Hearing Strong Bad say "Vape" is like Bugs Bunny dabbing; I burst into hysterical laughter as if I just witnessed an Eldritch Deity with the naked eye. (No I didn't. I lied. I merely fooled you-)
I would watch the new SBE in computer class in middle school when I was supposed to be doing my assignments. Now I'm in my 30s and watching the new SBE in my office while I'm supposed to be working.
It's incredible how the Chaps are able to make these characters from 20 years ago reference modern stuff without making it weird. Homestar Runner is a fine wine that gets better with age.
I think it is because these characters seem to live in their own world but unlike other characters that do it their world is both not so close that it feels like they went through a time warp (Look at Rugrats) or so far away that it feels dumb. They have just the right amount of observations about our world that it feels just the same as it did before.
Somewhat serious question, do dedicated vape shops actually exist? Is it just a US thing? I see Family Guy having vape bars and RU-vidrs talk about dedicated vape shops. But, where I live, the vapes and cartridges are sold in either cannabis stores or tobacco stores. The closest we have is Vape City, which is basically just a kiosk.
@@ashblossomandjoyoussprung.9917 Lots of places where cannabis and the like are legal have amalgamated themselves together but there are a few places where there aren't tons of CBD-type shops so vape/ecig/smoke shops will still wear "vape" on their signs or front doors
When I first got into Strong Bad Emails, I was in middle school with no thoughts of having a child. Now I am 30 with no HOPES of having a child instead. Time flies!
Even if I have to wait another decade I will wait patiently for sbemail#210. Hopefully we get another sbemail in 2023 and not 2032. Keep it up Matt and Mike, this didn't just make my day or week, it made the whole dang season for me.

Strong Bad perpetually uses the oldest technology he can get away with. Pretty sure the first thing he does whenever he gets a new machine is -bully- ask Strong Sad how to open the command prompt.
You can really feel the audience aging as TBC suddenly feel comfortable making vape jokes on an episode about parenting. Hell, an email Strong Bad answered from me more than half my life ago is now swiftly approaching bar mitzvah age.

I actually just became a dad 3 weeks ago! Having grown up on Homestarrunner, this was a real treat. SBemails haven't changed at all, right down to the low-fidelity sound design ✋🏻😌👌🏻
@@pikminfan6778 I remember a scene in another sbemail where Strong Mad was messing around with balls of crumpled paper saying they were origami paper crafts (I couldn't tell you which one though).
This is one of the funniest SBemails that you've done and that's saying something. I'm not sure how you can have both dead-on observational humor and off-the-wall absurdist humor, but you do both extremely well.
If you live in a Christian family or certain environment atleast they all have to have kids and push them unto everyones relatives, and they usually never shut up about them being in the center of everything, i mean whats even the point of relatives if one doesnt have common interest to begin with?. No idea what your background is though
Well Dangeresque had a cigarette burning away in an ashtray on his desk and Strong bad is always drinking "cold ones" which are clearly beers. This isn't actually that far off from his normal brand of humor.
apparently this email took 4 years to make according to the email from kickstarter I just got: "Fellow Keepers of Trogdor, It has been many years! Remember back in 2018 when one of the Stretch Goals in our campaign for Trogdor!! The Board Game was that we'd make a Strong Bad Email from a question submitted by our backers? No? Neither do most folks, prolly! ... But WE remembered and now, after 4 years, we finally finished the thang ding!"

@@drathmoor My whole group was really into H*R when we were kids and we did that thing where we decide who's most like which character and I got The Cheat. It was the only one that actually stuck and now it's been my nickname for more than half my life
I remember having to look after a flour bag in high school. I was already dead set on not having kids, and I was so annoyed I had to do this project (which was half of my grade if I remember correctly) that I named the thang ding "Dolores" after Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter. Because my feelings were about the same. I remember being baffled at the other girls that dressed up their flour bags in cute clothes and baby talked them, though I suppose that just proves they would be better suited as parents than I would. Also, love the phrase "co-parent."
As someone who grew up on H*R and SBemail, and who just became a dad a month ago, this and the Diaps video have been super timely. “Diaps” has become common vernacular around my home
My eldest was born in 2003, 3 days after I turned 21. Next month he graduates highschool. Tonight we're gonna rewatch this together before he goes off to work. Good time.

In all sincerity, thank you for creating this ridiculous cast of characters. It's still one if the best things to come from the internet and helped me through some challenging times.
If I had a nickel for every time a sbemail was uploaded on April Fool's Day, I'd have two nickels. That's not a lot, but it's kinda weird that it's happened twice.
Theres a couple of major lore dumps in this email. 1. Coach Z got all the “great for baby” items from strongbads “Gar-ba-dge” sale, because of his RHB he’d be caring for. 2. The characters in The Strongbad universe are actually human, despite their invisible arms, broom-like frames, and elephant-like feet. You know this, because of “RHB” specifically calling the baby a human
I remember back in elementary school when I will get a new strong bad email every Monday. now nearly 15 years later I have a kid of my own, and I've never related with homestar runner more than I do today. thank you, the brothers chap! you have been an integral part of my life, and this continuation of your legacy so if it's my heart to the point where I am glad to share this with my new children. thank you, from the bottom of my heart thank you!
