Ratostkr is like the original troll. He would stir up trouble between an eagle on top of yggdrasil and a snake at the bottom, exchanging insults. I like to imagine the squirrel escalated things unnecessarily
The moment I saw the camera pan to Atreus, I thought of the one shot thing they're going for and realised I was going to be playing as Atreus. Very cool idea. Like playing as Atreus but not as fun as Kratos imo
They nailed the dad and son aspect of this game impeccably, seeing Atreus grow up and his dad showing how much he cares for his son and the compassionate side of the God of war.
I really fucking love Kratos’ character growth in this How he’s constantly instilling in his son that war is not an option to be chosen lightly Really shows he’s sticking to the “We must be better” part from the last game and doesn’t want his son to make the same mistakes he did like letting his anger control his actions and solving everything with violence with little regard for life
his development in this game is fantastic. just how he talks to atreus a bit later into the game is very different from even the first game, much more fatherly id say.
Around 18:55 you can see the frozen lightning that Kratos and Thor made. Though it would be a nice thing to point out. Honestly really cool they kept it instead of just having it removed after the fight.
Its also pointed out later by kratos when you're in that area looking for norns. Clearly you don't own it. So no idea why you're pointing it out like its a trivia fact.
Ratatoskr is pretty cool, one of his pastimes is to run up and down Yggdrasil carrying insults between the eagles and the dragon Nidhög at the respective ends of the tree, often embellishing the insults. Basically, he's toxic social media, twitter should've had him as a mascot instead of a bird.
I hope the success and awards those two game get would push other developers and publishers to make quality games, and abandon ridiculous monetization method
Elden Ring and God of War 2 aren't in the same game of the year race with each other. Games released in Q4 like GoW2 are counted for next year's GOTY. Elden Ring will win 2022 and this game will probably win 2023
@@premier9435 No this is not true, Red dead redemption 2 was nominated in the same year in which it came out, even though if was near the end as well. If your comment was correct, then it would have been nominated for game of the year 2019.
@@alfie4234 It's a different type off bossfight than zeus I'll tell you that much. It's a pretty good and engaging bossfight but theres deffinetely better bossfights in this game imho
theres even a bossfight where you fight the nidhogg, and then you have to collect her children from across the realms because one of the squirles personanalities released them across the realm
I’ve never heard of ratatoskr, so when he was climbing on Kratos I fully expected Kratos to throw him into the air and cleave him in half with the axe lol
My favorite part about kratos is that he takes every opponent seriously even with how powerful he is. Characters like heimdall is clearly more advantaged than kratos but acts with confidence which seems like why he failed to defeat kratos.

Heres the ending tyr is odin in disguise he kills brok thor and kratos have that dad energy and odin kills thor for it then atreus freya mimir and kratos kill odin
*spoiler alert* When tyr said the spear as a walking stick, it is fully known that Odin uses his spear as his walking stick some time hence why that tyr is the sussy baka

Another difference is that while Kratos starts war, Tyr prevents it. Tyr sees best things in people while Kratos sees the worse but that doesn't mean Tyr is naive and Kratos is heartless, they both something that lacks from each other but in the end they're always the ones who suffered in wars

If you are wondering why there is a disney furry in the world tree, in norse mythos Ratatoskr (bore tooth) is a message deliverer between Níðhöggr, (name basically means villain) the giant dragon that feeds on the roots of Yggdrasil, and the eagles, Veðrfölnir (storm pale) which sits atop a bigger eagle that I can't find the name of that is perched atop the world tree. which he couldn't do if he couldn't talk. and most of the time ratatoskr embelishes or brings fake messages between the two to start beef. Also Jörmungandr is pronounced yor-mun-gund and if Níðhöggr shows up or has already shown up it's pronounced need-hawg
Here's a tip for the parry shield. You'll see when you parry or perfect parry you'll get a yellow or red charge on your shield. If you use your shield attack (L1, L1) you'll use the charge to do damage to the enemies stun gauge. The red charge will also make the enemies stagger most of the time

Honestly glad we didn't get to see Greece again, the dlc for this game is probably going to involve it in some way but the fact they show more of the 9 realms really does not disappoint

idk if Charlie will see this but the problem sindri not getting all 4 souls for brok is that if brok dies he cant go back to the lake of souls, there isn't any afterlife for brok anymore
