"At this point, you could only do so much to make eggs interesting" I eat eggs everyday and take the taste for granted. I eat it because it's so good for protein
Eddie was way bigger than them for the size of his body frame. He’s way shorter than both of them. You ever see him at his heaviest? He looks like a bowling ball. Those guys never looked like that.
The strongman and hobbit share an ancestor however the hobbits descend from the ones who decided to hide and the strongmen descend from the ones who chose to fight.
Man big Eddie had a different voice. Listening him now made me realize how much he was pushing his body in terms of sheer mass. He sounds like he was being choked
@@LMcGearty not in height. But when he won wsm it was said he ate himself to the title, as he was nearly the same weight as those 2(pushing over 400 pounds), but giving up 6 inches.
@@BenleVorace Haha not really living the dream. Maybe fun for a day, but they get so sick of it they have to pretty much force feed themselves constantly and set alarms to wake them up at night to eat
@@sethticer5108 well they’re not force feeding themselves because they’re so big and they’re burning so many calories all the time. They’re going to be hungry. But the waking yourself up thing would be a nightmare
@@balls3198 they do burn them but they also have to ensure a calorie surplus to constantly grow and beat world records. So that does mean they have to force themselves to a degree and there are videos of strongmen saying that it eventually becomes a chore to constantly feed.
I see your point and your comment was genuinly funny, but I just wonder how much cardio you need to tow a fuckin' semi or an airplane for 30-40 meters. I understand it's different kind of cardiovascular effort and impact than running 2 miles, but I still think their cardio might be better than most people would think. Especially considering their size.
Other way around bud, Powerlifters aren’t known for their cardio. Strongmen obviously train cardio, because they have moving events where they’re running while carrying an assload of weight
Id love the eating part of building muscle if i could just snap my finger and some resturant dish appeared infront of me. Its alot of bland food when you bulk lol
It's not easy but that's the price you have to pay to feel the adrenaline rush of having 12 to 13 screaming fans watch you repeatedly flip a tractor tire.
@@starseed807 nobody is speaking about healthy diet. You just didnt understand the word. If you want to be a strongman, you HAVE to take diet advice from them.
So strong men are actually hobbits... Trainer: Gentlemen, we do not stop 'til nightfall. Eddie: What about breakfast? Trainer: You've already had it. Eddie: We've had one, yes. What about second breakfast? [Trainer turns and walks away] Brian: I don't think he knows about second breakfast, Eddie. Eddie: What about elevenses? Luncheon? Afternoon tea? Dinner? Supper? He knows about them, doesn't he? Brian: I wouldn't count on it.
It’s nice to see that other people share the same sentiment of ‘eating food is the training’. As a guy who’s been underweight for most of his life, seeing it’s a struggle for even the elite is kind of a motivator in a way.
If you want to gain some weight and struggle, I'd suggest drinking your calories. It goes down easier and helps supplement the meals. I was underweight (140lbs at 6') all through high school and college and started doing 1k calorie shakes in the morning and that alone got me to 160-165. That also helped the eating that got me up to 180.
Definitely listen to Steven. But also use the shakes as a chance to get ur micronutrients in like fruits & veggies. Might as well make it more healthy.
@@NarutoUzomaki65 Blend one cup of uncooked oatmeal into a powder, add 2 bananas, one spoonful of peanut butter, 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 4 scoops of whey powder of choice, one scoop of creatine, and two cups of whole milk and blend. Add water or milk to reach desired consistency.
@@skoshow8418 Eating alot isnt healthy, none of these people are healthy. None of them are even natural, so thats just about as good advice as Dorian Yates saying you dont need direct ab-work to strengthen your core. Fuck off.
Best advice I can give you is you need to do things right from the beginning. If you don't have experience get help. Find fitness coach and invest in a meal plan. Good thing for me I didn't need coach. I just got meal plan from Next Level Diet. I was getting 10 pounds of muscle per month.
Even as a lover of food I don't even think I'd be able to get to half of what these guys get to even with a few joints to help 😂 boggles my mind how their stomachs handle that much

I love how everyone else can pretty much break down how many calories they’re getting each day and then you have Mateusz: “I never track calories, l like tofi.”
I'd like to emphasize that nothing that was spoken in this video was actually ADVICE. They literally just talked about what they do personally in order to achieve their goals. I'm fairly certain very few of these extraordinary specimen would actually advice other people to indulge in such extreme diets.
By the way Liam, appreciate you must be busy but if you have a sec could you let me know what you think of my last video? (only 3 minutes long) - would really value hearing your feedback! thanks bro :)
I swear my neighbour looks exactly like Tom, only diff is height, he is only 5'10 lol and my nephew is spitting image of Martins Licis, even has teeth gap and everything but again he is only 5'8 at best.
How have I never seen this before?! This is an awesome video of a variety of Strongman sharing tips of their diets. This just motivates me more and more to keep on eating and bulking the right way. March 2020 before quarantine, I was 150lbs. As of right now July 2021, I am almost 190lbs :) majority muscle. Still got visible abs, veins, vascularity, everything.
Awesome! I went from 133lbs (Dec 2021) to 154lbs (April 2022) at 3500 cal. I'm leveling off for now but will do another 3 month bulk after the summer. Have you been bulking this whole time?
I've eaten 4000 calories a day for a few months (clean calories, not rubbish) and it's an absolute pain. You lose the will to live after a while because you feel like you're constantly eating, preparing food, going to the toilet, resting after big meals.
I miss seeing Thor and Eddie compete but I respect that they earned their trophies and moved on. It makes it a bit more possible for other up and comers to achieve their dreams
Their body's basal metabolic rate must be like 3k cal easy. Around 160kg minimum. The energy requirements are absurd, which is why the surplus is much more than normal.
Great advice when you are young and just want to get bigger and stronger! I followed this approach for a while and made great bulking gains off of it.... ...but now I'm getting older and have to clean up a whole lot for my health... which SUCKS! I miss eating like a pig.
I remember at one point I tried doing a bodybuilding type diet, I hated it and had to eat every two-three hours for 5 meals and it was just unbearable after 4 days. I can’t imagine this
dude from time to time i do weight training but i only box now, when i realize how much i should eat to get big muscles i just knew i cant do it, i have no problem training or taking gear or eating healthy but i cant deal with the amounts of food i admire the people that do it i could not do it for a million dollars
On the flip side, you can use this as an example when people who try to lose weight don't succeed. Often they start eating cleaner but they don't decrease the amount of food they eat and so they don't lose weight, similarly it's obviously possible to gain weight on a diet of oats, fruit, fish and lean meat
I think eating a lot of meats and veggies, with some fruits and grains while working out every day is the best way to go. But sometimes staying consistent is harder.
4:24 Eddie looks massive in this shot. In my opinion, this is way more impressive and worth achieving than a shredded physique you often see on typical fitness media nowadays.
@@Libtardo123 you would die at 50 from bulking up to a heavier weight?People at his size can still run it’s just much harder and requires more athletic training. How is being shredded any healthier? Going to dangerously low body fat percentages, crashing your hormones, excessive exercise while your body is in starvation mode. That won’t kill you at 50?
@@barns8200 you took it to the other extreme, which I wasn’t implying. Weighing 400 lbs is unhealthy regardless of what training and body composition you have.
@@barns8200 he's also juiced up with gear at this time. Compare his voice in the video and now that he cut back on all the steroids and his hormones are starting to normalize
@@Libtardo123 yes I agree with you on that. I meant that being in a bulked up heavier state is more worth while. Not being so heavy that it is detrimental to your health
