I’ve gotten 90% of my favorite/best books just getting my finger tips dirty and digging through the bullshit. I’ll never get tired of the feeling of striking gold after hours of pouring through valiant, dell and second year image shit. My favorite is when the clerk is obviously annoyed that you’ve scored books with decent prices on the bags and they know damn well they’re worth more😂

Cool books, I love the cover on that Web of Spiderman, first Rogue and Whiplash are very nice, and damn $50 for 2 Shazams! But then after that it only gets better Ghost Rider 2 and Second appearance of Poison Ivy 😮. Nice Haul!!!

Flea markets, antique stores and yard sales are the best way to find comics cheap. I did however get the first app of the Batman who laughts for $75 and its nm do i think that was a steal.

You know whats funny though? This flea market is tapped DRY hahaha. Ive single handedly taken every single book over the last few months. I havent even seen a comic vendor here in a month or two since lol
@@MintHunterComics I feel u. I am indifferent with Syracuse. We beat them in 1997 when they had some guy named McNabb but have lost basically every time since including football and basketball.
Great work on finding some of those hidden gems out there. I'm not a DC guy (aside from Lobo), but that 2nd appearance of Poison Ivy is a good one and the condition seems very nice! My favorite though is that Web of Spiderman 1. I know it's available everywhere, but I just love that cover. Good luck on those submissions my friend!

Wow, the second guy had great books! A little risky to sell valuable books at a flea market where they can easily get damaged but he did manage to sell some.
Mine usually only has stuff like that. this one dude had a giant bin of pure crap and was asking 5 dollars a book. Lots of missing pages and stuff too. some people smh haha

LOL I was going to tell you I've got multiple copies of Shazam #1. I've had a huge Shazam/Capt.Marvel collection for decades. Gonna go through my boxes to check how many #1's I have. And #28 the Black Adam issue too. I had no idea that book got hot. No one wanted Shazam for decades. Maybe find someone to sell & or do some trading too.
Loved the video. Awesome pickups and I appreciate the footage of the flea market. I think I’m going to start doing that with some of my hunting videos.
I love Infinity Inc. If they were in mint condition, and that Golden Age mini series, I would have grabbed them, just because they were first to catch my eye - but that's just to own, rather than collect as an investment. But a number of those older comics in great condition would in deed be gold to come across. That silver age Secret Origins was certainly cool, and who can beat that Shazam #1 pair?
Really cool finds man! I personally got into collecting comics from my local flea market.. my family growing up never let me get into spawn for the "its not kid appropriate" phase... so when I was a grown man with adult money I snagged about 20-30 comics for $1 ONE DOLLAR!!!!! now they weren't in great shape... but they are actually really good for the price I got them at! And now I'm in love with Spawn.. (actually just picked up a Spawn #1 the other day in AMAZING shape!) again man great finds! 👍glad to see someone else likes to hit up the flea markets for hidden treasures!! 😁
@@MintHunterComics if you can wait a bit Todd McFarlane announced that Spawn Universe will be coming out in June! And from that 4 new lines of comics will be coming into existence! Each starting with there own #1 since the last time anyone could buy a #1 of Spawn off the shelf for cover price was in 92! Soooo cool haha and he is getting help with these from big names! Like J. Scott Campbell!
Why can't I find any good flea markets around me! Where are u from? I actually bought that first appearance of rogue not to long ago from Ebay for about 20 bucks in decent change. I did see as u were flipping thru that Avengers issue where they find Jean Grey in the ocean, after that issue is when X-Factor starts. Frickin score on the double Shazams!! Dude under $200 for everything is sick!

It's not a valuable book but I'm an X-men guy so as a completionist I need that and FF 286, those were part 1 and 2 of the Return of Jean Grey, those led directly into X-factor 1. Bro where at in Jersey? I'm in West New York! U said flea market so I dont know any around me. Wayne has opened up their weekly conventions again but I think those are shops that sell there, I know my LCS does.
Web of spiderman 1 is a key. This is the church where Spiderman sheds the alien costume using the bells. That is the same place Eddie first merges with it to become Venom.
Nice! I got Batman vol 156 (1st dr Hurt) for the equivalent of 10 cents for not that long ago although the cover was detached but still on and in otherwise fine condition.
When you live in states other than the big eastern and western cities you can find deals like that . No way you can find deals like that in New York or California , it's like trying to spot Big Foot .
At the 1:25 minute Mark you passed up a Superman comic that had the DC universe variant logo. I always buy those DCU variant logos every time I see them for $2 or less. And then I just hoard them. They're going to have their day one day. Some of them already are.
The thing that works against Rogue is it looks like a dollar comic. It doesn't look special from the naked view except those that know what it looks like!

Yes I noticed that new titans 10 which would be worth picking up and I also love old 70s batman families which were over looked but well worth a dollar
I gotten the first appearance of Rogue for $50. at the New Orleans Comic Con and the night before I gotten the second appearance for $15.00 at the one of my friends comic book stores
Wow you really have to get extremely lucky at a flea market to get anything worthwhile . I have some awesome books but I never found any thing worthwhile except the first appearance of Deadpool new mutants 98 I sold my graded copy 9.8 a couple of years ago for $800 yes I know it’s about $2000 now but I don’t bartend anymore so I have to sell comic books to live.Yes there are lots of nothing comics but the most recent comic book that went sky high would have to be edge of spider verse two the first appearance of spider Gwen well I have the death of Gwen Stacy 9.8 SU 121 and 122 of Spiderman they are both 9.8. I was always in love with her and it’s awesome to see that she is very relevant because ungraded copies are a couple of hundred dollars.I have a few raw copies and one is sign by Stan Lee .I still have plenty of good books but I had to pay top dollar at the time like I paid $10,500 for my Batman 1 5.0 restored superman 1 5.0 moderate professional restoration no trimming I only paid $12,500. I have other good books also probably the best deal was X-Men 1 $300 which was ungraded and it came back a 7.0 which is at least $23,000 right now😮😮😮😮😮
I've had to sell a lot of books too early due to hardship in the past. And it always sucks because a year later that book gets huge! It's happened time and time again
Wow...maybe there should be something like a comic book pawnshop where collectors can go to get some needed cash and are given the chance in retrieving their books . Just a thought .

I was just reading about my X-Men 17.0 which I almost sold for $23,000 right now the book is worth $70,000 and I only paid $300 years ago. Look what happened to tales of suspense 39 in the last month. I have tales of suspense 39 8.5 I paid $5300 8.0 just sold for $75,000 and the 8.5 only sold for $65,000 yes there will be a price correction. It’s no better time to be a comic book collector than right now. Except if you want the vintage you have to be very wealthy.
Watching this video motivated me to go to a local flea market and look for some comics. I struck out there but I ended up going to this antique store that I saw on the way to the flea market. I ended up finding a Hardware #1 Collectors edition! You never know what you can find

Most flea markets I go to around my area I get ripped off plus when I find some really cool comics they charge me double.oh well maybe I'll get lucky one of these days
That's what happens normally. Keep in mind I've only shown here the awesome stuff. There was PLENTY I had to walk away from for fear of being ripped off

(I’m familiar with New Hope, Used to go often but not so much in the past 10 years, Most of the shops that appealed to my wife and I (other than the bookstore) have closed. I saw that you visited Phantasm in one of your videos, I knew you weren’t too far away, What Flea Market were you going to? Columbus? Englishtown? Or something in PA?
If you want any of the key books nowadays you are going to have to have a lot of money to spend. X-Men is taking off like a rocket because Disney bought them over a year ago

I can’t recall, do you ever mention if you used CCS for pressing And cleaning? I have 25 books with them now for the first time using them and I’m a bit nervous that they won’t do a good job and I should have used third party presser.

I did a more detailed dive into that bin that I didnt film, I ran each grade but costs and they didn't work for me. I try for very high grade or low grade if silver and gold keys
