Thank you sir, your class is really fantastic you not only giving the class but also making a comparison between the text and the present situation. It's really a big thing. Nowadays most of the teachers not making such comparison they just teach what the text is saying. What is the definition of "free play " here?

Free play simply means that there are no fixed rules in a structure. It opens up a possibility of multiple centers and multiple meanings. Doesnt mean that there would be no centre. Or no meaning. Just that any element of the structure can at some point own the central position. In the context of language, the earlier idea that 'a signifier points to a signified' ( i.e a word will have "a" meaning ) is rejected. A word can have any number of meanings. Why not? That's what Derrida means by 'freeplay'.

Slow down, speak clearly and slowly. Breath and give us time to breath. Stop reading your slides. Explain each concept slowly in conversational style.
