Solid writing advice dude. I've been really struggling with self doubt lately (I often sit down to try and come up with stuff, write maybe one or two riffs that I genuinely like, record them, and then wind up thinking "man this sucks" and just scrapping it) and the whole "use your doubt as criticism rather than seeing it as an obstacle to overcome" really struck a chord with me.
Oh, now I learn about the Patron thing. I randomly clicked on Set Course for Andromeda after listening to Satriani, Nick Johnston, etc... WOW! I finally found the modern prog metal sound for me! Promptly went to Bandcamp and bought everything you had. Keep writing good stuff.. you are an amazing guitar player, song writer, and your "inside" chord work just blows my mind! My old fingers just can't make those changes at those speeds, but I've sure learned a lot of new chord voicings after listening to your music. Thanks...

An anime tribute album where you cover all your favorites, and if I could throw a request in it, I'd love to hear your rendition of "Again" by Yui from FMA. Seriously though, that would be awesome. Part of the reason I love you're music over so many others is that positive upbeat vibe your albums put off, and those quirky super unique licks you have.

Sithu, having played guitar for 20 years, the pianos on senpai EP really inspired me to learn the instrument. How did it feel transitioning from guitar to piano? How did you learn how to play epic final fantasty esque piano pieces and how does one go about learning it? I'm really keen to learn your senpai parts as my first songs.
Sithu, could you please let me know what set of single coil pickups are in your Strat? I must know this info please. Literally a decade later and that tone out of that strat into Lepou is amongst my all time favorites, ever. Please advise :)
They're the pickups that came with the guitar, Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups. Since the guitar is 17 years old at this point I have no idea if you can get your hands on them but hopefully the info helps nonetheless!

What are you using for live patch changes if you don't mind me asking? I've been trying to put a rig together with quick changes in mind. Good call with studio one by the way
I'm sending midi to my Axe-FX II via USB. In your DAW, you can program the midi changes, as well as tempo information to be sent. I can't remember the exact midi configuration but it's not very difficult and it's something you can look up pretty easily.
