Interesting video! I wouldn't say that Sweden is traditionally less industry heavy than Germany though. My impression is that the countries grew their economies in a fairly similar fashion - with efficient, export-focused industries leading the way. Granted, Sweden is much smaller, so our industrial giants tend to be less... well, gigantic, so the difference in brand value is likely accurate. It's possible that this has started to shift since the 2000s, as the Swedish economy has transitioned towards a focus on startups and services, but in the second half of the 1900s, the economies of Sweden and (West) Germany were quite similar.

Very interesting video. I lived in Germany for a few years and the language requirement for university there was a bit of an issue. C1 was required but the wait times for getting into a C1 class would of being longer than the actual course 😅Im interested if the Engineering culture is different between the countries.🤔

Thank you for the nice insight. I'm currently looking into where to continue my studies in possibly Europe. I'm a computer engineer bachelor looking to do MSc in Computer Science or Machine Learning. My interest right now also includes KTH and ETH Zurich. Thank you for the video, I still have to look into it more to make informed decision making.

6:30 You can read courses freely if you want. It depends on which university you are studying.

Hi Anna. I like to watch your videos. I have a question. In courses are which reference books taken as an example in German universities? Can you make a video about it?

Firstly, I have decided on two countries: Sweden and Germany. I encountered some processing issues in Germany. Later, I tried applying to Sweden and received an offer from Stockholm University for a Master's in Data Science. Is it worth studying there in the winter intake of 2024, or should I wait for Germany's summer intake in 2025? What should I do?

Sorry, I'm not really in touch with the civil engineering industry in either country. Does anyone else have thoughts on this? :)

What about studying abroad to germany from the USA? Are the classes still taught in German?
@kristofferhellstrom

As she said. Most is done in German in Germany.

yes that's right, German is the default university language in Germany and you really need to research if you want to find a program taught in English.

Hi Anna. I'm from India and want to study bachelor's in mechanical engineering in germany. You studied at TU Berlin. What would you recommend, studying in an FH or TU. I was planning on studying at FH Aachen.

I do not know anything about the FH Aachen, but I can tell you that the RWTH Aachen has one of the best reputation in mechanical engineering in Germany. If you have the choice, go for the RWTH :)

A TU is focused on research, a FH on application so the courses vary. Choose depending on what you want to do in the future - also, in Germany, it doesn't matter that much where you studied exactly, if you want to stay here. And you can easily switch for your masters.

You make some Engineering students look bad, 1 engineering degree, masters in engineering, masters in business, and 5 languages. You are shooting threes from half court, a basketball reference as no one is coming close to you.
