Unfortunately the dumbing down of America has been wildly successful. Our education system is embarrassing and we're just getting worse and worse. Other countries have free or at least affordable college and those kids go on to graduate and make their country more successful, I'm terrified to see where we will be in another decade or two.

The problem with these awards is that they encourage these politicians to compete to win them. It used to be there were only 2 or 3 qualified for these awards. But now there are the equivalent of half of our representatives that are eligible.
