I really enjoy the "Betty Bowers" videos. Here in South Texas Christianity can get serious. I got into it with a man that had a bumper sticker on his pickup truck that read "The Bible should be the law of the land". I asked if he genuinely believed this. "Of course, I'm a Christian". Does that include the Old Testament?. "Of course,It's God"s word". I went over to get my Bible. I opened it to the Old Testament. I asked this man if his clothes were a blended fiber cloth. "Yes,They are". "Well sir, I have to kill you now. Mixed fiber clothing is an abomination to God". I showed him the verse saying this. Told him there are almost 800 "laws" regarding human behavior. The penalty for for most transgressions is death. Driving your truck on the Sabbath is not allowed. No more bacon, catfish or shrimp. No more shaving or cutting your hair. I pointed out the verses regarding these activities. He didn't look happy.

Back around 1985, our local newpaper's "Letters to the Editor" was constantly filled with letters demanding prayer in public schools. So I wrote a letter quoting what Jesus said about public displays of prayer (Matthew 6:5-6) and reminding them that anyone who has ever bothered to actually read the New Testament should know all too well what Jesus thought of hypocrites (he seemed to hate nothing worse than hypocrites). After my letter was published, it was at least a full two years before the next letter calling for school prayer appeared and even then they didn't make a full come-back.

This humor is so refreshing...thank you so very much. The messages are clear. I wish there was much more of this humor in the world.

Just stumbled upon Mrs. Betty Bowers few days ago, as a strong believer in Christ, I love it.

I just found Betty Bowers videos literally a couple days ago and now addicted. The best satire is rooted in truth, and Andrew Bradley and his amazing vehicle Deven Green expose Evangelical Christendom's "truth" with every video. Bravo.

I actually remember the first time I heard the word ATHEIST. My mother was watching the Opra Winfrey Show. Dan Barker and Annie Laurie were on. I was a child. I was shocked. I winced inside. I was so grieved that anyone would so boldly admit to not believing. Thankfully I found my way out of fundamentalism and concluded atheism ten years ago.

FFRF is a great idea. We so need this and I am not an atheist. I am definitely concerned about religion moving into politics

LOVE Betty Bowers and FFRF! I am an atheist raised by "Christians". These are the reasons I never felt I belonged in the church. Even at 10 yrs old I experienced the hate, hypocrisy and sexism.

Now, I did not know that. I naturally got the impression Deven created Betty on her own. I'm a huge fan. And Deven is out of this world pure genius. I think all Americans over there should watch Betty's videos. So well done Andrew and Deven. I would love to shake their hands one day (after this social distancing shit is over of course. Ha ha.). One of the problems with human intelligence is that we are so good at defending ideas we arrived at irrationally.

I don't understand why the introduction doesn't include "Christians who understand the importance of the separation of church and state".
