I marched in 09-12…they should’ve left this in 05…it’s never been and never will be replicated. Like the heavens opened up and a train came out of it when they open up at the end!!
Y'all better show some respect, Doc had wayyy louder bands with like 70 or 80 less members than the current generation. He also had Mr Knighten too another 🐐
this was my senior year in high school 05-06...same time katrina hit..so i guess su had a lot of tension to let loose..i think this was their first time doing a hs botb outside la..and it was doc greggs last year as director.

The best marching band clip ever. Legendary stadium, legendary band, legendary sound, spectators left astonished. Multiple clips prove how great it was. SU was calling the Lord that day!
05 is and will be the core of the jukebox history books. I haven't heard a sound like that since maybe 96. lol and the closes to that is the 2017 summer Alumni SU Band.
99, 08 and even 11’ was bringing the HEAT but it was something about that 05’ band that’ll never be duplicated. No skaters!! (unlike today). Every section was pushing watts.
