How to remove a Subaru Crank Sprocket (Gear) that is rusted on. This gear would not come loose from the crankshaft (oil pump) when replacing the cambelt, even with spraying penetrating oil and leaving it overnight. If you have the same problem and cannot remove the crank sprocket timing gear then use this method. It only requires basic tools easily available at most auto or hardware stores. Works on nearly all Subaru's with a cambelt, turbo sti wrx and so on.
