Great job with everything you have done. Hot tip. That MY99 model year came with twin airbags standard. The passenger one is there but the steering wheel has been swapped for a non air bag wheel.
1. Nice to hear where we stand with regards to Evo vs Subaru :) 2. I've been using Llumar brand Air75 and Air80 model window films on both my daily driver and Evo 6. This film is clear (almost invisible) but it has 99% UltraViolet protection and quite good heat rejection. I mention it because black interior is prone to turning purple due to UV, the dash cracks over time etc...
Bit of a clean freak but you will pick up kw with that weight reduction. But least your not sharing the car with all the previous owners.....For a good APC get some Shine Supply Solution Concentrate and you can make it up in different strenghts, Engine bay, leather, carpet, interior etc. Great work all round :)
Looks awesome without the tint bruv👍 gives it that "new car look" & that gear knob looks more like a TRD gear knob with red stitching, the TRD badge/emblem goes in that gap
Good job man! Cut a 30mm x 30mm square in the rail under the seat and epoxy resin a new nut on. I just did this and it’s easy as. You’ll hold the nut for about 4-5 mins in place till resin holds. Wait some hours and put bolt threw.
Good work MJ love the clean come up well mate. Keep the STI seats they look cool mate. Pull the roof lining out that’s terrible. That auto glim stuff really good going to get a bottle.
I do car audio as a job and your rear shelf is a easy fix as I’ve done plenty of times, as ppl seem to put 6x9s on the shelf, just find yourself the oem grills and re trim or if you aren’t putting speakers back in just re trim the whole shelf, will look clean and tidy 👌
Do the blue sti seats from the later years. Or the red seats from the gc8. I'd prefer the blues seats. But end of the day your car. I'm happy to watch it come from Abit rough to a very clean car. Keep up the good work
@@MindieJ depends if I win the lottery. And never knew that about the later seats. You learn something new every. Anyways I'm interested to see what ever direction you go with it.
Thanks Chris, another brilliant video. I was a fan of the tint, but I agree the car looks way better without. In regard to the parcel shelf, would you be able to make another using the old one as a template?? Cheers
Hey man i own a 1990 liberty while i was watching this video i decided to see how far the similarities are between the first gen libertys and the first and second gen wrx and jesus christ they are pretty much all the same
What about factory tint ? I do like the clean glass look but also like my factory tint on my 33 sedan. Also LED interior lights arent that bad. Brightens up the interior so u can see heaps more
Great content there Chris. I have even uploaded a video myself today on my RU-vid channel. Keep up the good work my friend. From William. (Bill's Channel - sta)
I found pressure washer works very well on interior carpets and seats, out of car of course, just have to be gentle. Try it on your boot carpet still use your cleaner detergent. What brush do you use. Thanks
Boot carpet is stuffed not dirty, pressure washer on seats not such a good idea I wouldn’t be surprised if you have mould growing on your seat foams under the material, pumps way too much water in there
So here's the thing great content love your passion for the project and just your general overall attention to detail but I've gotta say what a tightarse lol I'd hate to need to buy something of you. Were all in business and I've gotta say the only thing I don't like is your diy wheel cover in the joot because it's not a genuine part but everything else makes me want to pull my carpet out and btw I'm sorry about the bolt what a pain in the neck. Just spend the money on genuine parts bro FFS!
