@@adriandavies3553 Subaru headgasket problem is down to the owners, not the car - incorrect tuning, bad maintenance or incorrect repair . The only issue Subaru had with head gasket were on 2.5 N/A

Had this car in the 6 speed manual. The transmission was the worst manual I’ve ever driven but the car was fun. Best car in deep snow I’ve ever had. The shit I did with that car in the mountains of Utah was insane.
And they're lighter. Fuck the new look. They're just trying to keep people buying wrx and sti and not get the much more affordable "luxury" version instead now. They look like a fuckin oversized prius now damnit.
The manual version only comes in the 6 cylinder i have the B5 liberty GT 2010 im in AUSTRALIA everywhere else in the world knows them as the LEGACY and they dont have LAUNCH CONTROL for those who are mislead by that part of the video
Yep... Loved the look which is like sort of Muscular... It's a Man's car, and I'm currently driving, but only the 2.0L N.A version. But I still like it very much!

@@henry6777 my friend has a 4th gen. The interior in my 5th gen is much nicer. Much more room and a much smoother ride, coupled with better power and torque. Some people hate the look of it, some people love it. But I agree the 4th gen looks more aggressive and sporty
@@JORDIIMusic Its more of a cruiser tho, 4th gen Leggy was still kore of an enthusiast/driver's car and was more fun to drive and better looking. So its down to what someone wants from ca car.. I personally want 4th gen 3.0R Spec B or if i could have it 2.0GT Spec B so its lighter and more powerful. BR9/5th gen is more executive feeling and more comfort oriented so it falls into a bit different demographic where this matters more.

@@JORDIIMusic and weight!!? Yeah right... Id be too far ahead before it even got on boost. The ball bearing VF45 is not a laggy turbo, on full boost by 2500rpm.
@@GreatGrandmasterWang well ive timed it on a dead flat road doing 0-100kph on a GPS tracker at 4.8 seconds and thats dead stock. The on paper performance of these late model (JDM 07-08) models is very underrated.

I've owned my 2.5GT 2010 for the last 2 almost 2.5 years, with no major issues! I had to change a sensor in the transmission, but this is a common issue with the transmission (also used in Skyline 250GT, 350GT and 370Z automatics - it was designed by Nissan). The turbo is really good! It's placed at the bottom front-right part of the engine bay (unique turbo placement design) and because of this, it has pretty much no turbo lag. Power comes on immediately and peak torque kicks in at around 2500rpm, so this car is very quick from stock! If you buy the JDM version, you get 282bhp stock, as well as 450Nm of torque. Lots of power and torque! I've had no issues with gaskets or oil - this car was designed to last a long time.

@@87Gbn you're absolutely right. Here in Legacy 2.5GT the Turbo is in different location compared to WRX , STI or previous gen. Legacy GT. It is underneath the engine block with equal exhaust headers length. Downside is lack of the Subaru rumble. Upside is shorter exhaust gases header, thus faster boost.
@@blue-tb2fd I thought it was CVT, so I looked it up after reading your comment, and everything I can find seems to agree with you that the GT's are 5 speed auto's, but the way this car sits at a constant rpm while the car is accelerating, like at 4:00, seems like a CVT?
@@sigigle That's the nature of automatic turbocharged Subarus it seems, my Forester XT has a 4-speed auto and behaves in a very similar way under light throttle
@@blue-tb2fd oic, interesting. I have a 2003 4th gen Legacy GT-B e-tune, twinturbo 4 speed tiptronic auto, and I don't think that does it, so maybe it's only with the newer models. Interesting.
Hello, how do you do launch control, in my legacy GT it does not let go of 2,500 RPM to do launch control. How do you get it up to 3,000 RPM for launch control? Thanks a lot

It's 3am and you're going to make me go out and launch the car until I lose my licence... If only we had the autobahn over here.... It's an amazing car, I have it in manual, more fun to drive, tuned it to 175kw at the wheels so engine should be around 215 to 220kw. Have a variable exhaust with remote wo when I want the rumble and flame throwing, off it goes. I love the exhaust embedded in the body kit on the auto though. Look after your car, it's a well designed sleeper. Not a wrx or evo but a well designed all around package

can anyone explain to me, why this 2.5gt legacy can have better fuel consumption than my 2010 impreza 2.0i. Mine a tank can get average 440km. Meanwhile this gt2.5 legacy can get 500km a tank
2010.... only year it was sold in EU and only with 5EAT tranny. You can be pretty sure about it. It was sold only 1 year before Emission Euro 5 came into effect.. Unlike in EU in USDM market, you can find it , and I'm guessing here from now on, 2010-2013 before facelift only with 6MT tranny (strange huh ?) In JDM market ( Japan , Australia , NZ ) same I guess 2010-2013. In Japan when came the facelift model with different engine. Legacy GT 2.0 DIT ( turboed with direct injection ) with Eyesight feature.
