Subaru's Crazy Flat 12 F1 Engine

Been waiting for this vid! The flat 12 is so interesting I wish they did more with it and made it reliable. Would have been really cool to see a hyper car with a flat 12 engine the sound would be insane

This engine was destined to be under powered due to its inherent Harmonic Frequency of its Flat 12 Design. It should have been developed using a Single Large Supercharger fed by Twin Turbos - this Turbo / Supercharged design would have reliably delivered well over 850 bhp and up 1000 bhp if Water/ Alcohol Injection were added.

Flat 12 works on Ferrari 312 during the 70s, and Subaru thinks it can work again on early 90s. Too bad they got it wrong.

Subaru could barely make the EJ25 work after 30 years with the thing. I can't imagine them making a decent F1 engine

IF, Subby's Flat-12 has Any 'Heritage' to their frickin' dumb-assed flat four, then, the Timing-Belts cog's will WIPE OUT ALL TWELVE CYLINDERS on that cheap $13 PLASTIC TOOTHED GEAR that tensions that timing belt. Hate that CHEAPNESS. Hated that $2200 bill, too, on my Outback. Subby Sucks.
