I really wish I had a doctor like you to examine my daughter. Doctors think her colour changes are breath-holding low iron without anemia), but some of its presentation conforms to what you describe. I researched her symptoms and it did come up with subclavian involvement like thoracic outlet syndrome. However my daughter is a 3 year old level 3 nonverbal autistic, so this would be exceedingly rare. They couldn't complete the ultrasound, they only ruled out septal defects within the heart. They refused to examine her further because she was so difficult and they think it's breath-holding, so they believe sedation is an unreasonable risk. What are my other avenues to rule out circulation issues like this? Sometimes her arms (both but one moreso that the other can go quite grey, with dark grey appearance within the elbow during these "spells". It is usually the arms, with one more affected than the other then the colour change travels up to her face. Arms go pale, grey, and then when colour returns her hands go patchy purple and red, especially on side of her index finger and thumb and radial side of the arm. Sometimes her legs are involved, but usually not. If her legs are involved she gets grey lower legs, then beetroot red with white feet and red toes. She has daily pain. She chews her fingers when she does too much physical activity or the temperature suddenly drops (without being freezing). She has indicated a few times the pain is in her finger and toes, but usually she indicates the pain in front lower jaw and back of the lower head. She feels dizzy and goes pale lifting her arms too often above her head while squeezing sand in her hands at the park. She gets cyanotic over her nose bridge, eyes, upper lip, chin and base of her neck whenever pushed on a swing. She finds it difficult to keep her head up and eyes open after about 5 pushes on the swing. Doctors don't listen. I have had to correct them several occasions about when these episodes happen and how they happen. I am worried that we have to wait for the daily iron supplements before they consider anything else.

MRI can get a more detailed view of her anatomy. Talk to your doctor about it. Although, MRIs are loud, take a long time, and require you to be still.

@@jean-lucc9591 It turns out that it was Reynaud's. I have her on a waiting list for a rheumatologist, but they've given her low priority despite family history of autoimmune and daily pain. It's very frustrating. I am worried that if there's something wrong damage is caused by them dragging their feet. They resisted so hard to avoid admitting they were wrong about breath-holding.

Just found out today that I have this in L arm. Presented to casualty last week as I though I was about to have a stroke. Bp is quite disparate in each arm with up to 80 systolic points and up to 40 diastolic points difference. One measurement at triage measured a L diastolic pressure of 35.

Wow, this is a great explanation. Thank you, but I have a question. Could you please be so kind as to explain abberant right subclavian artery and how it affects the bloodflow. I also want to ask if the abberant artery becomes too compressed, can it cause steal syndrome? Thank you in advance.

OMG....I have been suffering with symptoms such as these for more than 10 years!! I've explained to my primary, I've been the ER because the presyncope was so bad I was sick to my stomach. Been seeing a neurologist who says I have migraine with visual aura. This has hit everything I've been experiencing. Thanks so much for this video

Could this condition potentially cause a rapid onset development of Livedo Reticularis? It seems in theory it could, minimal case study publications on this. Thank you!

Is this syndrome seen on ekg or echocardiogram or stress tests? My neurologist thinks I have this. I grey out when I put my arms over my head like washing my hair or reaching over my head or with pressure on my shoulders (backpack). I also keep a severe headache daily but imaging of my brain shows no cause. Ive had a complete cardiophysiologist work up done but these issues were never seen
