welcome to the Voctave rabbit hole. If you like check out the Disney Love Medley featuring Kirstin from PTX. if you want something high energy Their Disney 90s TV Medley is fun and nostalgic! You can't go wrong with any of their Christmas songs either (Mary Did you know feat Mark Lowry (the writer of the lyrics) and Where are you Christmas are some of my favs). Also You will be found feature an almost 1,000 person virtual choir. Their Prince of Egypt Medley and the Disney Heroes and Villians Medley (men only similar to this one fom the girls) are some of their best but audio only at this time. Have fun and loved your reaction. fyi, Jamey Ray is one of the tenors and founder of the group. He also does all of the arrangements and arranges to each person and their strengths versus their "part". They are also all current or former members of the Voices of Liberty at Epcot at Walt Disney World in FL.
Yeah! What she said! Others: Someday, Trolley Song, and Carol of the Bells of Notre Dame (a combo of two songs, one from Hunchback of Notre Fame & Carol of the Bells)
So glad to hear you react to Voctave. Please react to; Disney's Love Medley, The Great Movie Medley, Prince of Egypt Medley, O Holy Night, O Come All Ye Faithful, Mary Did You Know, Where Are You Christmas, Somewhere (which shows off each member) and anything else they do. I promise they will blow you away.
Nice job Bob.Voctave covers the gamut! They all have or some are singing with The Voices Of Liberty,Epcot,Disney World.Jamey Ray is their genius arranger and founder and has arranged for PTX,Voice Play and many others. What is wonderful about Voctave, is they do not have to "layer" in more voices in the studio, like other groups because of their numbers,so what you hear here is what you get in their live performances.(Most who have seen them live say they sound better in person than on recordings). They do have high energy songs, but their library runs form Broadway tunes, jazz, Christmas, Disney and more. A few that will make you smile, drop your jaw or get huge goosebumps : The Disney Show Stoppers ( featuring 3 of the guys and showing off their cohesive talents as a group) The Great Movie Medley, an ode to the great John Williams and his film scores/theme songs, where the group IS the orchestra ( only 1 song has lyrics) The virtual ( done at the height of the pandemic) You Will Be Found , with singers from 55 different countries joining in, is wonderful The Prince of Egypt ( all 8 minutes plus) is incredible and any of their Christmas stuff!
Nice reaction! Voctave is a really unique group: a little bit A Capella, a little bit Choir, a little bit Barbershop, a little bit Musical Theater and a bit of Disney magic for good measure. Incredible group of folks from many backgrounds!
Speaking of "Prince", be blown away while listening to their 'Prince of Egypt' medley! If you get the chance, go see them in person. I was fortunate enough to see them do do just that last week!!
You said it ... " BEAUTIFUL WALLS OF SOUND" ... they are stunningly talented! 👍🤗 (wait till you hear "The Impossible Dream" and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow")
