There was a cable car in China that, as a result of being over-filled fell, killing 14 people. One young couple held their infant son above their heads, sacrificing themselves for their child. "Daybreak" is the lament of that young boy for the parents he'll never know. The song writer later adopted that young boy. The first time I heard this song was Dimash´s rendition in the Bastau concert version. It made me cry though I can´t understand chinese and the video had not english, spanish, french, italian or portugese subs. Now you find it captioned in his channel

👉 When Dimash lost his voice (Singer 2017), he received 5 injections in the throat and a competitor gave him 'traditional medicine'. All competitors kept their fingers crossed for Dimash. But, if you don't know, you will hear Dimash's voice as powerful and passionate as ever. After this performance, he was asked how his throat felt and he said it felt like broken glass in it. After the Bastau concert Dimash said he didn't want to sing this song again because he found it too emotionally upsetting. He did some amazing things in this concert. The Bastau concert version is my favourite of all time of Daybreak. The fact that he couldn't speak for 3-4 days after The Singer version is too upsetting not only for me but more so for him. In preparation for the concert, Dimash worked so hard that he lost a lot of weight. His family was very concerned. Here, Dimash sang “Daybreak”. This song based on a true tragic story and is very well known in China. In 1999 14 people died in a cable car accident in China. The voice loss was the day before the show and you will note that the acupuncture treatments, etc. seem to have worked but it had to have affected his confidence a little bit. As to the story of the song, some hear it as if the parents somehow lifted him out of the cable car but what they did was, both parents, holding him in the air so that their bodies took the impact of the fall, and the toddler survived. The parents survived the fall but died of their injuries.

You should really try daididau, it's also a true sad story, if you watch the competition version you get the story, it's very Kazakh and to me beautiful, for some reason it's, not highly requested but I think it shows another side to him, also the Kazakh band playing with him are wonderful. I think a lot of songs get requested to show his vocal acrobatics, this song not so much but it's a powerful beautiful song.

Autumn Strong is in Mandarin and Dimash learned it in one week and has earned Plaques and awards for his singing of it. Ikanaide is the first Japanese song Dimash has sung it from the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021. They both have the same melody but with different lyrics. The original singer is Komi Tamaki and he also sings this song with great feelings. You could also react to his version. Thank you .
