That's why you never argue or chase after someone who's telling you they are tired and in are in a bad mood lol, their relationship changed forever. They both made good points but there's some shit you don't say.

That's probably all she heard from her parents growing up: that no one was good enough for her, and that the only reason anyone pursues her is that they hope to gain something from it.

But also Tom wouldn't be with Shiv if she wasn't Sibhon Roy, daughter of Logan Roy, heiress to billions of dollars, so I don't think she's wrong in thinking "You're with me for my money and status"

Nah Shiv's right in that, it's been evident since the beginning that he's with her for money and power. He also loves her but money comes first.

@@bain.mp4Tom and Shiv's relationship is so interesting because it's only partially true that they are with each other for personal gain. They kinda sorta do love each other, in a very broken way. But they do. And they are also awful, self serving people, so there's that. In the argument scene, it becomes impossible to pick a side because both of them are right about everything they say to each other.

"Connor's Wedding" is the only episode nominated for Best Writing and I think it's because HBO is afraid any other episodes would steal votes and they'd ultimately lose. All ten episodes are masterworks of the form.

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 love BB and BCS but there is no way they are better than Succession. Not even particularly close IMO. Breaking Bad was kind of boring the first two seasons. And the same with Better Call Saul when Chuck was still alive.

I feel like the issue is BCS, The Leftovers, Dark change pretty drastically season over season not to mention first couple of seasons of BB are nowhere near the quality of later seasons. IDK Succession feels overall more consistent to me, whereas many other great shows have a lot of dips and peaks. Then again just my opinion, highly subjective.@@reynaldolorenzo8409

Watched midway through the third season and stopped watching. The second season might be the worst/most boring season of television that I actually watched from start to finish.

@@reynaldolorenzo8409 Awards mean nothing, I was convinced that everyone already knows that by now. Breaking Bad has more action and big shock moments, so it appeals to the general audience more than Succession does. Thats not an indicator of quality though.

exactly. she’s a self-centered, power-hungry, vindictive, conniving, manipulative, broken little banshee eloquently swaddled in Tom Ford and Max Mara like a fallen angel on a fullblown simultaneous meltdown/powertrip and a desperate, frenzied attempt to claw and scratch her way to maintaining (or more honestly trying to achieve for the first time outside of pittance “awarded” to her by Logan) any bit of relevancy or control to fill the gargantuan multi-billion dollar sized void left by Logan’s untimely passing. Siobhan is a monstrous bitch, but she is a product of the snowglobe in which Logan has entrapped his children their entire lives. Shiv always has to feel a need to constantly be stronger, sharper, and deadlier than her male peers and brothers - even when they don’t have to demonstrate nearly as much control purely because they have a dick between their legs. To poorly paraphrase an almost verbatim quote from Logan “You’re a young WOMAN with no experience. Of course it’s a fucking minus.” She’s been playing on an uneven playing field with sledgehammers to her kneecaps everytime she tries to climb the ladder out of the females-only snakepit. I think this may be a reason why she exhibits to much cruelty towards Tom - for once, she has the full power in that dynamic and she knows it. And seeing as Tom effectively became a sort-of “surrogate” for all of Shiv’s hatred of Logan’s boys club ideology, Tom became the perfect punching bag for Shiv to release all of her frustrations. “You’re a masochist and you can’t even take it.” Also, the whole scorpion. No matter what, they kill eachother without even trying. They are poison.

Tom is so clearly in the right and it’s crazy to me that people actually support Shiv over him. The writers are obviously Team Tom too considering the ending he gets.

I guess people can understand where she is coming from, it's pretty easy to say, shiv cheats, fuck Shit. Tom mah king, but a lot of people can understand her doingwhat she does after Tom betrayed her in S3 finale.
