@@sarge019l4 he most certainly is smart. He's a billionaire and president of most powerful country in the world. Yes, he is not well spoken and a bit wierd but to compare him with connor is absurd
I am here as a fellow viewer, to acknowledge that Succession has, as we know, ended. Succession was a show, also Succession has been on HBO since 2018. And when a show ends it is sad. All the shows will end one day. In this case, it is Succession who has done so. Succession was on air for four seasons, but no more, now it is over. Succession's viewers were us, we have been watching for five years. Now we are sad.
The fact that Connor's girlfriend is ten steps ahead of him isn't even touched on. She pieced this entire thing together in like ten minutes, so much that she's like, hey don't praise this guy in public.
but it was funny because it was so bad, exactly the kind of stuff that would be put together in 10 minutes. but kudos to her for getting him to not praise mo lester.
@@nathans1899 It wasn't meant to be a serious replacement. Willa made the speech as vague as possible so Whatsherface the author would have nothing to put in her book. It's fucking GENIUS.
Willa doesnt get enough credit. She's freakin' smart to piece everything and save Connor by writing that very vague speech. Brilliant writing and acting.
@@kimlouise2389 Do you know the purpose of the speech? Do you know how quickly she came up with it? Do you know how perfectly it accomplished what it was meant to accomplish? Did you not see the look the woman who was clearly looking for something gave her, acknowledging that she did good? Please give me an example of a better speech she could have written.
@@kathypop4 Lester was taken away prematurely from X kids with his wife Maria , may they have have all of the support and guidance they require in these troubling times while god aims to ease their mourning from their loss. Thank you.
Very smart of Willa to edit the speech. Saying anything too personal would have blown up in the family's face. Also, this probably should have foreshadowed that Willa's play was going to bomb. P.S. Connor Roy was interested in politics from a very young age.
@@manjindersingh6106 sure she had a talent for realizing that saying the real speech would backfire, but the replacement speech is comically poorly written. Just shows from a technical standpoint her writing can be improved, which also can probably apply to her play.
@@seanreidy2584 exactly, the speech is terrible, but the matter of factness of it is really hilarious so it makes me like Willa's writing. Probably wouldn't go see her play though
When Connor suggests “Lester touched all of us” as a eulogy I can’t tell if he’s joking, or if he’s really oblivious to the double meaning. I want to believe it’s a joke, but his face is so deadpan, and he doesn’t seem like the type to deliver jokes like that.
But he have no career experiences. As far I knew, he's still jobless unlike Kendall, Roman, and Shiv. Even blurr person like Greg is better than him (Connor Roy)
@@n.y.174 Yes, but it's also incredibly fucked up, because Logan knew Lester was such a creep he could potentially hurt even Logan's kids, and yet still decided to protect him and keep him close.
I love how Willa was quick thinking enough to realize the eulogy needed to be replaced, but wasn't talented enough to write an actual good replacement😭 a fucking hilarious one though
@@afonsopires2315Yeah but there are ways to be vague without sounding so robotic. The eulogy sounds like it was written by an alien imitating human speech
not gonna lie, connor's girlfriend is a real one for how she went about that. In a weird way she actually put the pieces together for cruises and then you have Greg who played a role. Such a great show
I really hope that Willa gets more development as a character. The fact she was able to read the room and figure out Mo's history and tell Connor tells me that she may have some skills better suited for something other than the theater that could prove herself to the Roy family. EDIT: also the way Willa says "The wolfpack?!" sends me
One of the most humorous scenes of the show but provides insight to the Roy family. Logan wouldnt sacrifice him or his "wolf pack," but made sure he wasnt near his kids. Both of them brush it off as "another time," while dodging inquiries. Mo-Lester got to die without his reputation soiled, or consequences that the family has to dodge in his place. The scene was mostly insight to Willa, an outsider. Putting together everything in moments to save Connors idiocy while being shocked at the same time the family protected a serial rapist, pedophile and murderer while briefing trying to tell Connor that his actions were wrong then too.
I love how he didn't even say vague adjectives like "complicated" or "unique" which can't be interpreted as praising him in any way. He just spoke as if he was reading his 1st grade essay.
One of the best scenes of the show and it's not even with any of the 4 main protagonists of this show. It just tells us how much we need more of Connor Roy in this show.
Word’s going around that Connor Roy was interested in politics at a young age. He doesn’t talk about it much and he’s a man of many interests. But politics. Early interest. At a young age.
Easily the best show on TV nothing even comes close. Amazing story telling, Amazing cliff hanger, Amazing Drama and Amazing dry comedy. I always hated Comedy Drama but this show does it so well. I cannot wait until the next season
Connor is absolutely hilarious without trying to be. I personally think the very simple eulogy was more touching than one with too many details which Willa wrote to deny the would be biographer any ammunition! Sometimes less is more and it come across that Connor & the Roy’s we’re to overcome with grief to actually try and do a clicked long eulogy! Absolutely brilliant: Uncle Meathands, Mr Fiddlesticks..🤣🤣🤣🤣
