This is one of my fav ballads from them but the Mutya version is just so much better, you can really hear the emotion in her voice ❤️❤️

The Mutya version is so much better for this song. I always took the meaning to be that no matter what life throws at you, you will always have music/ significant other/ family to escape to..”weather the storm, whatever the cost…won’t walk away, stand by your side, I’m here for you, the rest of our lives”. Basically life always has meaning and never to lose sight of that. It has always been a top 3 of mine for them. Do agree it is the composition, and it’s such a deep meaning. Keisha’s vocals steal the show on this one.

Mutya's version is the better of the two, but I feel like the production on this, "Red Dress" and "Gotta Be You" was weird when they re-recorded them to include Amelle's vocals. I got no beef with Amelle's voice but the whole mood of this song just fits Mutya's voice, whereas "Red Dress" was really good with Amelle's, though I still prefer Mutya's version. So glad she finally performed it and I hope one day they perform this song too because Siobhan was kill the middle 8 and Keisha is serving it on the ad-libs at the end of the song.

So glad you're doing Sugababes. Take your time. I will say I just don't love Amelle on this. Maybe they didn't have a lot of time to vocal-produce or mix or something. Or Mutya's voice just works better on this. It's not Amelle shade, she's great on almost everything

Mutya HATED this video and rightfully so! Her verse was about her daughter and the dark undertone of that video…. Yea she was upset lol And the song didn’t do good on the charts I appreciated Amelle singing this song…. She didn’t sound bad at all to me, she just wasn’t Mutya haha I agree tho! Would love to hear them sing that on tour… I know Siobhan would body that bridge

"Stronger" is a hard track to follow and I don't think "Caught In a Moment" (the original) or "Follow Me Home" quite measure up. Neither carve out their own identity.

This song literally just scraped into the uk top 40 here at number 32 ! Really bad lol 😂 And yes Mutya hated this video due to the fact she wrote it for her daughter and the video was so dark !

I feel for Amelle and actually like her and her voice. It was always going to be impossible to fill Mutya’s shoes. The original 3 are just magic together (which is no shade to Heidi… I think she did a great job stepping in and gave them more commercial success but I loved their alternative vibe with Siobahn). Mutyas version is better. Amelle did good though but that video is just totally not it. I didn't like the song at the time because of the Mutya situation and her disapproval and superior vocals PLUS it sounded almost exactly the same as Stronger which is better. However the Live performances of this were really great particularly Keishas harmonies on the chorus and offcourse the Adlibs and runs at the end. Check them out!

I loved this song when I got the album it was one of my favourites. It's funny you mention stronger because this has the same kinda vibe to it. This was their least successful single on the charts, though it sold marginally better than Soul Sound (thanks to downloads). I wouldn't be surprised if the original line up at some stage do this and we know they will knock it out of the park! It was meant to follow up Push The Button, but the label pushed it back in favour of Ugly, it was then meant to follow up Ugly but Mutya leaving then pushed it back after Red Dress (which wasn't gonna be a single). They kept the original video treatment for it, which then made no sense to have a winter themed video for a single released in the summer. I don't think this should of been a single with Mutya's replacement at all, her cold, dead, zero emotion vocals, it killed the track, her voice is basically a bland, generic, non emotive, limited range version of Mutya, it's like if you suck the life and soul out of Mutya's voice, you are left with her replacement's, it's just a hollow shell with no depth. THE END.

This is why I censor Am*lle's name. It triggers me.

Amelle BUTCHERED this song! Mutyas version is far superior. I know it seems like people give Amelle a hard time but it’s just very hard to hear someone redoing something that was great & making it mediocre 🤷🏼‍♂️

I don't like Amelle at all. She made drama and ruined 3.0 and lead to the disappointing 4.0.
