You’d think they could at least make a unique Brainiac boss but someone had the the idea that people would just love to fight Flash again instead of the villain they were trying to build up the whole game

7 writers to tell one story just seems overkill even for me at least in my opinion.

I'll say this. They should have had this Deadshot be from an alternate Earth but not be aware of it until say this point where Brainiac would tell him or in the coming Post Game Updates and deal with the revelation.

I don’t understand why Paul Dini was not called back to write the story of Arkham Knight. When I found out Sefton was taking over, I immediately knew we wouldn’t enjoy a story of the same calibre as Asylum/City. Suicide Squad just cements Paul Dini was the secret sauce.

I completely disagree with you saying "the concept is fine", i feel like the premise of this game was asinine from the jump. Regardless of its connection to the Arkham franchise, the very premise of a game where the Justice League (these iconic characters you've grown up with and have attachments to) are mind-controlled into being evil and the idea of nonchalantly murdering them instead of finding a way to free them reeks of disrespect and lacks the depth that these characters deserve. I'd feel the same way if this was a "Kill the X-men" game and you played as mystique, blob, toad, and sabretooth. Or a "Kill the spider-men" game and you play as vulture, mysterio, rhino, and scorpion. the game being a generic, live service, looter shooter only exacerbates the problem, adding insult to injury.

I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t do a justice league game where u can actually play as all the justice league just like you can play as all the suicide squad. It’s baffling

The way the JL are killed is stupid. However, as a live service game, I appreciate how microtansactions only apply to outfits. I love the fact that added story is free.

You very much deserved a break after finishing this. This game felt very repetitive, so I couldn't imagine what is like playing this game for hours on end.

At least avengers had finality to its main story campaign lol. This game deserves to be forgotten and ridiculed.

Only reason I can ever think of there to be more then one or two writers is in a fantasy RPG game... like Elder Scrolls, or at the very least I have no idea how many writers that series had per game.

Been watching you’re videos since I was 12 and now I’m 20, I learned all my Batman and DC lore from you, and all I can say to you kwing is that I agree with 1000% on everything you said about this game. This game is a complete mess, I didn’t buy it because I knew the writers of sweet baby inc were going to make this game flop, can’t wait to see you’re lore videos on SSKJL.

Personally the Arkhamverse damage is done even if they found a way to save the Justice League not a lot of people will care it's too late especially. Since James Gunn said the Arkhamverse will continue but no I don't want to continue since we most likely get crap writing and I know people are going to say. "Your upset that your not getting another Batman Arkham game or a Batman game at all" but the thing is they didn't have to continue with Batman people wanted a Superman game but nope they could have done Flash game, Wonder Woman game or even a Green Lantern game instead of Batman. Don't get me wrong of course I am down for more Batman games heck I was hyped for the cancelled Damian Wayne game and was hyped for Gotham Knights. But after Gotham Knights and this game I wanted the Damian Wayne game instead of both would it be a masterpiece probably not but it would be a good or great game. Because you have a setting that Gotham City crime is at a all time high and seeing Gotham City looked liked after the apocalypse happened and with Nemesis system at play it would definitely get people addicted to the gameplay. And with Josh Keaton voicing Damian Wayne would be amazing and interesting now was controversial to choose Damian instead of Terry at the time yes but with good writing they can make it work especially the villains they were going to be in that game. And I wouldn't be either mad or bitter if WB Montreal didn't have three cancelled games and one of them being a pitch and Rocksteady's Original IP before they got stuck with the Suicide Squad. And lastly I wouldn't be surprised that founders of their new studio said a that WB were a bunch of jerks and such and I wouldn't be surprised it has happened before.

I’m about 1000 words into a Batman vs the justice league rewrite version of the game and already I enjoy writing it more than playing this garbage.

That whole farewell is so shallow and silly. It is such a stab in the back because the writers are telling you that they know how to be even semi respectful at the end meanwhile choosing to destroy his character. It doesn't even make sense from a lore POV either because why would Lois Lane be giving his eulogy while not giving one for Superman. Then they even reference his "Voice" to show some sort of meta commentary. The message they give you at the end is so simple and dumb basically saying you can be a hero too and I'm just like you message. Which totally misrepresents the character for the sake of having a feel good message at the end.

Legitimately, this is the only videogame I've ever played where I've been tempted to actually mute the dialog. It's an accomplishment when you have four protagonists that I immediately wish would shut up as soon as they start talking. Out of all of them, Harley is by far the worst. I know she's always been annoying, as that's kinda part of her character. But not only is she now inexplicably the main character, but she also now has timely references!

Most people seem to think that the the badly received story-line moments, such as the universally panned death scenes of the brainwashed Justice League, and Deadshot getting a Race Lift, happened because Rocksteady had narrative consultancy agency Sweet Baby Inc write the story instead of them. Actually, Sweet Baby Inc joined development of the game after the story was written to make in-game ads, audio logs, and NPC barks,, so things like Boomerang trying to piss on Flash's corpse and Harley unceremoniously shooting Batman were conceived by Rocksteady itself and did not happen because of outsourcing. The one thing Sweet Baby might be able to be blamed for is the controversial backstory moment where Superman convinced the rest of the League to try to negotiate with Brainiac since that is told in audio logs, but whatever happens in the cut-scenes in the game isn't by them. But stil i think sefton only write frist draft

All they had to do is just make the game set in a different universe that wasn’t the Arkham one and I would’ve been fine man. Honestly to me a Suicide squad game would’ve been fine if they just didn’t do it with this exact story of KILLING THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. They could’ve done any other story and it could’ve worked for me whether it’s just them going on random missions or something but NOT KILLING THE JUSTICE LEAGUE

I think live service games should stop being made. A big influence on this game was the business of pumping out content in the future. This game is bad and will age far worse in the future if it’s available.

I think you mean Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker both founders and senior writers, also I found an interview Conroy did with Dan Allen Gaming in 2021 that he specifically said that he would be open to playing a darker Batman that fell into the abyss ever since doing the Killing Joke ending, and Arkham Knight story. (Also what's wrong with Spaghetti, I love my mom's spaghetti) Notice how there are 13 writers in the credits with SB Inc. and the game has 13 Brainiacs, maybe they want the players to kill the 13 Brainiacs who are actually the 13 writers for this game.

You know Kwing at this point, there is such a lack of comedy in the game. That if you just started with “Last time on Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League” in a lazy tired voice I would find it more funny than the game. LOL! Or better yet you could say *”Last time! On Suicide Squad, pandering to Twitter!”* 🤣🤣🤣

I want to point out that despite the main story brainac being defeated his ship still looks perfectly fine. I mean yeah we do see it explode a little bit but still it looks perfectly fine. They couldn't even show it being properly fully destroyed in order to prove it was a job well done.

Jesus this game is such a boring plot hole ridden mess.

I get why you’re angry at the game for multiple reasons, but I do respect Kevin Conroy’s choice and accept the fact that this is the final thing that he wanted to be in as well as the new movie that’s gonna come out. Also, pretty much the big fact that’s already going around is the fact that all of the corrupted justice league members are actually clones and has been confirmed I believe because before the flash was taken, boomerang had cut off his finger and when he came back corrupted, he had that finger back which comic rules state regarding flash, does not have the ability to regenerate body parts. It would also explain why Superman didn’t have that much of a reaction to kryptonite when wonder woman him in the chest with the piece because he was an altered clone with a resistance to it. Also, the death of all the other league members definitely felt like jokes, but wonder woman’s was genuinely emotional and even she realized something was off in that kryptonite did not take down Superman. if it all pans out, wonder woman is the only member of the league that truly died in the bass game. One thing you’ll need to do is you’ll need to also make sure to get all the audio logs because the audio logs have more backstory between the different suicide squad characters, and also the justice league before the start of the game. Hey, at least one of the good things I can at least say about this is that all of the future story updates with the new worlds coming in and characters, It’s all free. So it means you could just keep playing every new update just to see what the content is.

Me personally I wouldn't say that arkham batman was disrespected in the game except for the way they killed him off he was still cool, his hologram messages were cool, the knight at the museum mission was awesome, and him watching you throughout missions was great it felt like the reverse of us as batman spying on thugs. Again me personally I feel like he was done justice better than the rest of the league besides wonder woman maybe

One thing I want to say to people that hate the game because of Batman’s death. I get it, you don’t want Batman to die because you have grown attached to this version. You have connected to him but you must come to terms with it. Don’t stay in denial. Halo 5 had a similar problem, no one wanted to fight the character they grew to attach to so they hated the game because of it. Like Doctor Who said, “ everything has its time, and everything dies.” Rip Kevin.
