25th anniversary this year. Graphics are great. Wish they would do a 25th anniversary update. 2 doesn't need much fixings. 1 could be touched up. Miss suikoden.
The magic animations are pretty, character designs are good, the magic effects are good, nice menus. For a game with 108 characters its quite streamlined, like Final Fantasy XIII and Kingdom Hearts 2 - 3 have such convoluted plots.
I remember the first time I played it back when I was very young, I got stuck on many bosses, First was the abomination in North window, then the one with Luca blight since I focused on using my favorite characters but that's the beauty of games back then, there's little to no access to available walkthroughs and resources unlike nowadays, it's easy to be tempted to do everything right the first time especially when a lot of people can easily exchange information. It's all about finding your own way and grinding that you can't help but be immersed in the story. So glad that I group up during the ps1 era
good ol days right .. i even got stuck at white deer inn event when i misplaced the stone in the maze and it made me re run the game again from the first twice .. even i cant believe that i still insist to finish this game back then ..
Just try one hit ko, so hard to get that. I use Riou, Mcdohl, Luc, Rina, Khan, Magus. Conclusion is 4 units Blue Gate Rune, 1 unit Thor, 1 unit Forgiven one, 1 Sacrificial Jizo for the last turn unit. No cheat needed, many thanks pal.

When you thinking about it, Viki is probably the strongest MC ever that doesnt have true rune (or maybe she has one), She can travel through space and time. That's like having a True Gate rune
I always thought that Jeanne and Viki are true runes owners or simply a rune themselves. a bit like Yuber and Pesmerga which maybe were split in a nemesis of each other somehow (eightfold rune or whatever the name was)
my line up for this one will be masus, luc, sierra, rina and tengaar. all has 2 lvl4 skill which combines 2 runes instantly and i will use fire and lightning.. it will beat the beast in one round
you can't, each part of the beast rune has resistance to fire or lighting.. only water element (Blue Gate's empty world) and Earth element can deal maximum damage to them

kalau gw mikirnya gini bluegate kan no elemen trus liat affinity di suiko source cocok buat hero rata2 kelas mage (Head = H) trus klu gw ni bos terakhir emg kuat hampir semua elemen jd damage lebih bisa masuk semua apalagi klu ngulik party pisik no magic main status STR dan damage yg keluar bisa brutal no cheat no gs set equip: power ring 3 biji armor klu bisa nambahin STR rune : double beat,fury/double strike,killer weapon di colok pake Rage kenapa harus Rage? damagenya itu stak.. bertambah terus udh auto kejang kejang itu musuh klu mau ulik aja di suiko source
Viki and Jeane.. Somehow, I think that those two are really related with each other. They didn't age and they were available in all suikoden games. Not too mention that the time gap between S4 and S5 was huge. Correct me if I'm wrong.
di radat ada satu lantai 2. Mesti ada viki dan sering 2 teleport jadi nyasar nanti kesana. Di hidden village ninja ada 1. saya lupa dua lagi dimana. Sama mazus ada satu kalo ndak salah.

Matter of fact, if he leaves your party at any time, he will return to his home in Gregminster, which means you have no choice but to make a long trek through the woods to get him again, since you can’t use the blinking mirror to teleport to your HQ. It’s worth it though, because Tir has the Soul Eater, and his base stats are as good as Riou’s, not to mention his incredibly useful unite attack with the hero.
@@dauntless0711 . When I got him the first time (I have already played Suikoden 2 many times already, I owned S2 first) I did that, as he was something new in a game I had played many times already. Nowadays I just recruit him at the end of the game, so I don't do that forest trip more than twice.
