If you want to experience the beauty and culture of China through the eyes of a traveler, then this video is a must-watch! Join us as we take you on a journey through Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shanghai, showcasing the highlights of our two-week adventure.
One of the things that sets this video apart is the raw and authentic footage. We didn’t film a traditional vlog because we wanted to fully immerse ourselves in the moment with Lin’s family. Instead, we’ve compiled the memories captured on our phone, giving you a genuine glimpse into our travel experience. Our journey began in Chengdu, where we stayed at the Galaxy Min Young Hotel. From there, we visited the famous Panda Research Base, an absolute must-see. Despite the crowds during the holiday period, we were able to witness the pandas in action and explore the vast park. The affordable ticket price was an added bonus! Next, we headed to Chongqing, where we tried the traditional Hot Pot and admired the stunning city skyline at night. We also visited temples, explored the Silk Road area, and indulged in delicious meals with Lin’s family.
But our adventure didn’t end there. We hopped on a plane to Shanghai, where we experienced the high-speed Maglev train and explored the historical area of Juanpu. We rented bicycles and stumbled upon a beautiful temple, reminding us to be respectful of local customs and beliefs. The vibrant night market, delicious seafood, and breathtaking views of Shanghai from the top of a building were just a few of the highlights. Throughout the video, you’ll also catch glimpses of the local cuisine, from dim sum to Dan Dan Mian. The unique flavors and culinary experiences will surely make your mouth water. But it’s not just about the sights and tastes; we also wanted to showcase the warmth and hospitality of Lin’s family. Through meeting new people and experiencing different traditions, we were able to truly immerse ourselves in Chinese culture.
So, if you’re looking for an authentic travel experience, filled with stunning landscapes, delicious food, and heartwarming moments with locals, this video is a must-watch. Join us on this unforgettable journey through China, and let the beauty of the country captivate you.

If you go to China again, must do the Yangtze River cruise. It is so beautiful. I really liked it.

We did the cruise in Shanghai so we didn't want to repeat but will do next time as you say it's worth it! The best is the cruise during the day right?

Glamping is also new trend in China where there is an increasing number of operators of roving vehicles (RVs), especially traveling to inland provinces like Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Gansu, Sichuan, Tibet/Xizang, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Shanxi. Ethnic minorities’ culture and lifestyles are also attractions in itself

Good vlog. Thank you. It is always a bad idea to go to China traveling during their public holidays due to the huge number of local tourists doing the same as well. Much better to go off peak season.

In my early years, after serving Army Perm Stuff in ROC Taiwan, somehow indirectly or subconsciously influenced by our Starlight Base Camp KMT Army Doctor Mr. Huang 黄大夫。He always talked about his mainland childhood, he hated CCP when KMT defeated and booted out from mainland. Then I read the book Riding the Iron Rooster by Paul Theroux, I packed and went North Eastern Province, Beijing, Nanjing and Shanghai. It was never an easy process simply by bought an air ticket. Go Chinese Embassy early morning long queue, lots of paperwork, and as an overseas Chinese, we have to pay every fees and ticket double!!! 🤭😁
@thisiskevin1000
@thisiskevin1000 Год назад
But Mr. Huang may have never took note of the mismanagement issues of Chiang Kai-shek’s time when the KMT ruled mainland China after the death of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Those sympathetic to Sun stayed in the mainland and worked with the CPC (not CCP), eventually formed a breakaway non-CPC party the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), part of a dozen-strong coalition under the United Front. They do have reps in the Chinese People’s Participatory Consultative Congress (CPPCC). One should better study in-depth about how the government system works
