@@happyguy5165 Stewart's opinions are closer to Martin Jacques (the former editor of Marxism Today) than to Sir Roger Scruton. He simply believes we should implement the Blair plan a bit more slowly.

@@georgesdelatour can you clarify the point you draw from this? My understanding is that he is centre-right-to-centre-left economically though in certain respects he is more socially conservative. By which I mean, although he is socially liberal on issues like gay marriage and so-forth, he deeply values tradition, moderate reform, and the idiosyncrasies of social groups - he seems a conservative in the vein of Burke. Furthermore, some of his more centre-left economics seem informed by a one nation conservative ethos rather than a left-wing philosophy.

He wasn't an elected Politian. He was an advisor! He did not make any decisions. Maybe look at the mass deaths in Covid that the Tories caused, the deaths in Gaza with British provided weapons to the Israelis'
