I love mine. Got about 800rds thru it. Ate everything. Too bad 308 is $1.30 per rd. I remember going to Walmart a few years ago and getting 200rds of Winchester white box for $70. Yeah, I know I sound like an old fart.
Just got one havent shot it yet didnt pay 1400 take 200 off that price tag sportsman outdoors 1,099 nikon .308 m tactical scope new charging handle and magpul bipod nothin more nothin less im ready to shoot
@@malcom5538 I also picked up the Nikon M-Tactical .308 scope 4-16x42SF ...sat on the scope for a few days then paired with the following. Bottom line incredible combo
I just prefer that they did not choose 16" on this platform. My personal opinion is that a 16" length is great for a CQB AR15 (.223/5.56) when choosing a .308 coupled with the heavier design and ammunition (typical smaller round count per magazine) it is better suited for the med-long range. 18" minimum preferably 20". Lots of velocity loss here.
Around 60fps for each inch of barrel. So it really is only 120 fps slower from the 20 inch, and really no difference from the 18. The powder for a 308 is completely burned by 16 inches which is why there isn't much loss between 16 and 18. Into the 22" range theres a noticeable difference
The victor line from Springfield is supposed to be a “duty” line I don’t think this gun was made for hunters lol, if it was they would give it a longer barrel and they wouldn’t of put a recoil controlling muzzle break on there unless a hunter would like to blow out their ear drum which isn’t very ideal lol
