I expose myself to sunlight a lot during the summer. I do yard work, jog, ride my bicycle -- wearing nothing but shorts and sneakers. As long as I do that after 3:00 p.m., I don't sunburn at all. But once I was outside in the sunlight at noon for a short time and I burned quite a lot. So the time of day pretty much means everything. I have never used sunscreen and never will.

This I would hold to be straight up correct. Avoid sunlight during those 2-3 crucial hours around midday because there is no benefit to being out when radiation is at its highest. Reduce exposure to no more than an hour in the morning and again in the later afternoon and negate the need for sunscreen - period. I’ve always suspected these lotions actually promote cancer not prevent due to the high chemical contents. You need the sunshine ☀️ in its natural form. I get the best suntans that last longer, develop faster and feel healthier all round working to this simple protocol..

I'm Eastern European 46yo and I've been working in London for 8 years, after 1 year in London my libido decreased drastically, I frequented the gym as my hobby and I took some supplements to increase Testosterone(Boron,Shilajit,Tongkat Ali)which had a 30% influence! One summer we decided to go Holidays to Spain10days at the beach, Peniscola. After the second day my wife asked me if I was taking something more special because I had contact twice a day😆🙈 incredible and surprising for me and I answered, same supliments as in London🤷‍♂️ The protocol: I exposed myself to the Sun in the morning for 30 minutes between 9-10 am, after which I applied sunscreen and in the evening for 30 minutes between 5-7 pm, but the food that consisted of 70% seafood and fish also had a big influence! After Holiday and the return to London, the libido problem reappeared again after a few days...🤷‍♂️

I have trained like "pro" in the gym for the whole time 4-5 times a week. Lost huge amount of weight and I´m currently at 14% bf and cutting atm to get below 10% by end of summer. No significant changes in levels during winter times wich are quite cold here in nordic lands. Though my SHBG is quite high, but it lowered -40% after I donated blood few months ago. I moved to Nebraska from Oklahoma a couple years ago and when the weather gets gloomy in December, I get into a deep funk for months. Spring hits in late April and I start to feel better. It's crazy how much the sun and warmth affects my general mood and desire to do anything. I still hit the gym in the winter, but it's not easy being trapped inside all day with very little sunlight. I'm seriously thinking about moving back south because for a third or fourth of the year, it's like a dead zone here.

Hi Mike, great video as usual Did the investigators running the study consider many smokers go outside to smoke? Smokers would not cover up or apply sunblock to go for a smoke break, so this time is more T productive for them than the sunblocked/covered-up. Even if it was accounted for, there is potential for reporting bias: participants who smoke will under-report smoking as it is an unhealthy activity...underreporting how many cigarettes per day=underreporting actual time outside.

Vitamin D is a Renin inhibitor=more blood/ oxgen/nutrient flow to all tissues and organs. It sets up a good environment for increased testosterone and gene transcription. Also with the longer days and favourable weather this is the time of year to work hard and get lots done. I think historically we would of had to rest and conserve most of the winter.

I’m on TRT and when I take aromasin, a aromatase inhibitor, I feel a lot better because of the higher amount of test and less amount of estrogen, more manly instead of a whiney B. Also eating a rich in greens diet does this trick for me, now I understand why. Pretty nice I won’t need aromasin anymore.

Nicotine does increase testosterone, but protein synthesis is decreased, so the increased testosterone won't lead to increase more muscle overall pretty much. Not sure about using using stimulants like nicotine and caffiene as once you are immune you need the stimulant for normal levels, then there is the negative impact of stimulants. I suppose there is some positives of caffiene products and you can use early in the morning, so it's pretty much worn off before bed. Nicotine you are going to use all day, so you are stimulated before bed. I guess with smokeless tobacco you could just use first thing in the day, without the urge to use all day long

They concluded that people who took lives were more likely to on a sunny day versus rainy cloudy day as was theorized. I'm wondering if the change in testosterone levels was actually what was happening. Meaning higher testosterone caused one to act. Not causing the actual root of depression. I've also noticed aggression from my animals after they've had a lot of sun. I'm questioning the effects on different parts of your skin though. I don't believe getting sun on your genitals is any different from your arms and legs. If there is I think it's more of a all in your head type thing. A boost perhaps from the being naked outdoors possibly in public and feeling kinda sexy not that that holding your feet in the air pose is particularly attractive lol 😜

I don't know about testosterone levels, but when it's hot I don't feel like having sex at all. When I sunbathe (often completely naked) while lying under the sun in the summer heat, an erection is impossible for me.

ITS GOING OUT FOR SMOKE BREAKS!!! You can’t smoke inside anymore, you have to go outside, and you aren’t putting sunscreen on….. OBVI!!!😁 I am glad to say I knew this because of being an EX-SMOKER. Maybe we should all just go outside for 10 minutes every hour or two, regardless of season.

Seems to me this would cause a different overall baseline for testosterone, or any other phytoreactive hormone production.

During the winter, I chainsaw, shovel ditches and haul wood. During Summer I enjoy hiking, swimming and gardening. I get lots of sun, but no way will my clothes be removed to tan privates.

It’s the nicotine. Don’t smoke, just use the gum or patches.

The thumbnail made me spit out my water. It looks like my female friend who would get in this position to get sun on her b hole for some odd reason.

Wait wait wait, I have a confounding variable; in the summer, yes people get more sun, but also - girls walk around wearing barely anything! Think THAT has an effect on testosterone?
