Growing up traveling to Sarasota to see my grandparents. I love driving that bridge. That area is so beautiful and hope someday i can live there. Since my grandparents are now gone. Its been years since ive been down there.
What a beautiful memory. Even just in the several years we've been traveling there, Bradenton and Sarasota have changed a ton. I highly recommend visiting to see how it's different!
What a great memory to drive the old bridge. It was indeed a sad time when it was hit. This bridge is an amazing feat and so fun to share as a RTV1 Family! Thanks for joining us!
That was fun! Once I was driving in southern MD and knew I had a bridge coming up. Then all of a sudden I saw a really high up arch ahead and realized it was the huge bridge coming up! I bravely kept on going and going....and glanced off to the side a couple times....and I know is said "wow!" a lot!
Hi. First time viewer to your channel, really enjoyed this family drive, thanks for having me along. 🙂 Impressed with the size of the bridge, enjoyed the views from the top. I've always enjoyed the "Disney" channel you have, and look forward to more of your videos on this channel (to which I've subscribed). Appreciate such a nice, wholesome, and family-oriented video. Look forward to more. God Bless to you and your family!
Fun fact: Did you notice the large concrete triangles on the beach before you go over the bridge? They are there to diminish the kinetic energy of the waves 🌊
It is definitely something to see and experience, but it's ok to be a "once in a lifetime" experience. I certainly wouldn't want to do it every day - that't not my idea of a fun morning drive. lol.
Glad you enjoyed it. One of the reasons I wanted to record this is for neighbors who wouldn't want to drive it or who wouldn't ever get to drive it themselves.
I think I need Liam on my next trivia team. He seems to always have facts!!! Thank you for sharing. I recall driving ( riding w my parents) when only one side of bridge was open after the crash, it was very unsettling to say the least. 😂 loving these vlogs!
He loves trivia, facts, science and he can spin a tale, too. Certainly never a boring ride. lol. I bet that was a very unsettling drive. Even on a clear day, this bridge deserves extra caution. Thanks for joining us!
Thank you for joining us! Since this isn't a route through the mainland of Florida, I had a feeling many people might not have driven it. It's one reason I wanted to share it. It's definitely a fun one. Liam is absorbing so many things about science and the world around him right now. It's really fun to see...although sometimes, we never know quite what he's going to say, so sometimes there is an element of surprise or groaning. I can go either way. lol.
I finally get to be a passenger!! I take this bridge often to go to the beach in the morning before work. Thank you so much for taking us along!! I loved every minute!
This really is my favorite bridge to drive across. It’s not a trip south without it. The piers north and south used to be part of the old bridge. This really makes me miss FL.
It really is a unique drive. There is nothing quite like it. I'm glad they found a way to use the old bridge for the community, but add the new with the old.
@@ResortTV1Homes If you are on Anna Maria Island at sunset go to the City Pier. The Sunshine Bridge has lights on it and it is beautiful. There is also a small restaurant on the pier if you want a drink or something to eat.
It’s fantastic to take a cruise out of Tampa and go under this bridge! The clearance is literally just inches!!!! 😬😆👏🛳️🌁 Also a lot of ships get anchored waiting for fog to clear! I had to wait 12 hours to get back into Tampa Bay port in Nov!
Wow. That is such a unique challenge for ships that I wouldn't have guessed. We'll have to take a cruise out of Tampa some time. Liam and I went to the port to see the Aquarium and the USS Victory and saw some of the ships. They are soooo huge.
