Me too!! I was always a little thrown off by him as a teenager and in my 20s, but I loved him anyway! Made me and my brother laugh! But then I started understanding it's a total character that never ever stops!! He was awesome and so unique!! 😅🤟

My favorite thing about Harland is how "upset" get gets when he makes people laugh. He looks so hurt. Him telling Tom Green "if you're gonna laugh, maybe this isn't the show for me" during his "summer crafts" bit kills me every time.

One of the most underrated deadpan comedians of all time. He’s was one of the first comedians I ever saw, my grandparents had a taped vhs of one of his specials where at the end he’s playing piano on a double decker bus and then it drives under an overpass and takes the whole top of the bus out haha.

I’ll never forget watching Super Dave on Showtime when I was a kid. It wasn’t until later in life that I realized it was all a gag. Bob was one of the funniest dudes ever and a MASTER of the deadpan, straight-face comic delivery. One of the best.

The third joke he did on Curb Your Enthusiasm with Jerry Seinfeld and is one of the few times I hurt myself laughing. It doesn't have the same impact here because of the censoring. Anyone though who is a big fan of Super Dave and has HBO needs to check out the recent "The Super Bob Einstein Movie" documentary released last year to learn more of this great and sadly departed comedy genius.

He told that liver lover joke to Seinfeld the first time they ever met. It’s onscreen in the reunion episode of CYE. Jerry, who is notorious for despising vulgar jokes, was wincing the entire time and the cracked up at the punch. Quickly recovering he says, “Well…that wasn’t as bad as it…started out to be…” Great scene. Super Dave is a legend.

I love Conan's face. Like, "I'm getting fired but I have to hear the end of this... for comedy." NGL, I watched the 1st joke 3 times before I made it to the second, I was laughing so hard each time. We miss you Super Dave. I got a younger coworker to check you out because I was raving about the comfort of pure Sasquachuan leather and he loved that I didn't actually tell him anything other than you were a spokesman for fine leather products and had an interesting sales pitch. He said he watched old clips for almost 2 hours. 😂😂😂

Super Dave was one of the first shows on cable tv, or at least one of the earliest I remember. Anyway, he always cracked me up and it's sad that we lost him.

Super Dave made his debut on a Canadian sketch TV show called Bizarre hosted by John Byner. The Super Dave segments were so popular they spun it off into its own show.

My favorite Super Dave moment is when he makes a house for Stevie Wonder only to have Stevie plow through the garage door with a station wagon and runs Dave over 😀

If you've never heard it before, look up Bob's "Thanksgiving" story. It concerns the guy who was the basis for the main character in "Throw Momma From the Train," along with his real-life mother. One of my favorite stories.

I only found super dave within the last 10 or so years because of norm. Now they are both gone and very muched missed. Thanks for the laughs and so much more!
