The funny thing is that they say Treasure Tracker will be a prequel in a joking manner when, in fact, it is. I was half expecting Future Emile to put something on screen relating to the fact.
He also didn't correct that "The game was intended for Link" It was a Mario game and they wanted to ditch the jump sbility. Link was a suggestion, nothing more. Miyamoto shot it down before work was altered.
***** It was designed with jumping in mind. Then after realizing that they'd need to expand the levels to a greater scale it was decides to disable the jump. THEN Link was suggested.
"I want the time limit to go away" "One thing I never want to go away is the sped-up music when you're low on time. It gives a sense of urgency. It's great" ???????????? Emile what
I really like the speed run type levels too. They are perfect to replay and designed really well. I hope something like it returns in the next Mario game
5:49 Kamek: Halt! None shall pass! Mario: I think you need new glasses cause there's four of us! Kamek: Hmm... Looks like I'll need to even the odds. Come to me, minions! (two more Magikoopas appears) Huh?! Where's Ralph? Magikoopa: He called in sick today, boss. Kamek: Of all the... Never mind! Get 'em! (after battle) Kamek: Argh! You broke my glasses! I'll remember this!
11:22 Mario: Hey! Look like they have kart-racing here! Peach: Oh, now I wished we brought our karts... Luigi: Guess it's going to be a footrace. Toad: Woohoo! Prepare to eat my dust!
Alex Senter Meh, at least it's not like it used to be. This game could be the version of Smash or Mario Party you could play if you don't have those two. SETTLE IN 3D WORLD.
When you've paused the video, and right when you resume a couple hours later you get Jon's goofy laugh immediately... You come back to this channel over and over again.
I honestly was expecting someone to say "Mario Kart 7" in the episode, but none was present. And then, I saw the episode's number. Good one, Chugga. Good one.
11:23 as an add-on to Jon's talking about how toad's wearing a hat in the Mario Bros. Super show; did you know that in the 90's Donkey kong computer animated TV show, there's an episode in which DK goes bald and his actual cranium is shaped like the iconic "tuft" of hair. Now that's nightmare fuel 0_0
While playing this game with the canon with four people, I have one rule If you have the cannon, DO NOT shoot to try and kill enemies! Stay in the back and don't let go of the button! The other three will kill everything so that we don't lose the cannon. As soon as what needs to be done with the canon is over, we'll have someone ground pound the person with the cannon so we no longer need to deal with it.
I feel like the only reason hatless Toad was so scary is because he was absurdly lacking in hair. His design just doesn't lend itself well to that. I feel like it could've been so much better if they just gave him some hair. Bonus points if a Toad's hair is the same color as the spots on his hat. Yes, even yellow. You know you want a fabulous blonde Toad.
Game Theory just kinda said "They don't seem to come off, so they're probably attached" The game's dialogue is actually inconsistent with this, as the Toads themselves have referred to it as a hat on some occasions ("hat- I mean, head") despite the fact that the mushroom itself was shown to produce spores in Mario Tennis 64 (and Smash, for some reason Peach's neutral special has Toad produce spores).
Trendonamo what if captain toad was the reason the green stars appeared in the first place? Like with smg2... i mean... its not like that in smg1 but thats besides the point
Funny how the songs Emile stated he liked were the only songs composed by Koji Kondo. Shows the man's still got it. Also, Toad's "hat" was from Adventures of SMB3, not Super Show if I recall correctly...
