Same Here! Must mean something. Experiencing that feeling of nostalgia from the past after so long. Makes me long to return to those days; re-live it all from start to finish and feel it once more how it felt to hear this for the first time. Feel how it truly felt to play Metroid for the First time.
I felt really bad for the lead trumpet at the end. It had to have been a really long concert, because you can just hear his chops just die at like 7:40. I was really impressed by his recovery though. Damn nice job to whoever arranged this and all the performers.
'Tis a sad thing! Alas, it happens to even world class trumpet players. There's a particular recording of the Walton Crown Imperial March that is very good, up until a point where, in another commentator's words, someone 'let the clown in' with a nice solid horn honking.
@@robertfinley681 This was done by the Tokyo Philharmonic orchestra I believe. They did this album called orchestral game concert back in the late 90's. I dont remember which volume this one was from though.
I'd love to know which orchestra and arranger put this version together, and when. I first came across it in about 2002 so it's a good 20 years old now and still sounds epic.
I'd love to see a metroid film, but I think this is one of the few I'd rather see in live action than animation. With live action I think they could do a better job of making the film a bit more gritty or adult. I wouldn't personally want a metroid movie that is aimed towards kids.
Yes, it would be pointless to introduce samus along with other characters, it would have to be devised in which she doesn't come in with other characters. Stay tuned
I wonder how'd you make the movie. Personally, I think to make a working Metroid Movie, you would have to switch from Samus's perspective to other's perspective quite frequently, like switching from Frodo to Aragorn and everybody else in The Lord of the Rings, but when it's Samus's perspective, there's virtually no talking and lots of isolation. In other words, no one person is the obvious protagonist, even though Samus is clearly the hero of the story.
Looking back at what I wrote, I don't entirely agree with everything I wrote. I still think it would work better if it wasn't all from Samus's perspective, though.
Could be fun, but I think that would work if you were only trying to create a movie that emphasized the dark, isolation factor of Metroid. As for emphasizing Samus's heroism...that would be very difficult to do if you emphasized loneliness. Plus, I think it would be VERY difficult to keep the movie interesting if it was about the protagonist being immersed in a lonely planet. PLAYING a game is one thing, because the pace of the plot unfolding and where you go is entirely up to the player--WATCHING a game as a movie is another. The person watching the player play the game is more likely to call it quits sooner than the player him/herself, because the interaction between the player and game preserves interest in the game even through the boring parts and when there's no one around but you. But if there's something long and tedious in a movie, that can get pretty boring, even if there are non-human creatures around.
This sounds incredible orchestrated. They should do what they did with Skyward Sword in the next Metroid game and have the whole soundtrack orchestrated.
josh nic They should should use that to start the next Metroid game. XD Besides, we have not seen a scenario where the Metroids have taken over yet. Just repeats of the first Metroid game. At least Metroid 2 and Metroid Fusion tried to do *something* different.
There's a title crawl after a few credits. At :34 it starts threading through an industrial maze of pipes, and crosses a group of pirates at :45 before continuing. Cut to Samus sneaking through a pirate facility, running as it approaches the 1:05 mark and stopping behind some cover. An overview shot of what's going on behind her, and then as her theme cuts in at 1:28, she springs from cover and guns down the nearby pirates, performing awesome acrobatics as she goes.
dont feel alone alvarostockle. its my favorite game too. i bought the snes, gamecube, ds and wii only for this game. so your not alone. this is like the only metroid orchestrated song. its superb.
This is the one that's been floating around for a while. Real symphony orchestra, not somebody using an electronic keyboard. ×.× We CAN tell the difference.
Don't doubt that Spartan Laser. His only problem would be ammunition which he could scavenge off of space pirates or their machines. Master Chief is stated by almost all of the official material also has heightened scenes intelligence and creativity in addition to being strong enough to flip entire mobile command platforms. He could figure something out.
loverofjesusMKII Also try ArmA III's soundtrack, especially the menu theme. Oh, and also Kingdom Hearts, Hotline Miami 1/2, PayDay 1/2, Battlefield: Bad Company 1/2, Portal 1/2, Super Meat Boy, etc.
I know his name. If you played Halo 4 you should know what the composer is. look it up on halo wiki. But essentially it deconstructs humans and changes them into Promethean Knights
Hey I know it's been 6 years, but I honestly really love this song, even better than the original imo. I was wondering what you used at the beginning? It sounds super glassy and I would really love to make something using it, please lmk if you're still around on here
The thing is Chief may not be susceptible to phazon as he is extremely resistant if not impervious to genetic manipulation as seen in his many encounters with the flood and the didact's composer.
He could do it. Kraid is a bitch. He he probably beat Ridley and SA-X too as he is immune to parasetic infection due to his Borens Syndrone and genetic modification from the Librarian.I don't think he could beat Dark Samus though. Samus vs Master chief, if actually done right would be a relay good fight.
This ^ You need to be the one to design trailers for games or at least the order of events and such most of the trailers now just show gameplay and not general bassassery I mean not to say all trailers are bad but you know what I mean right?
