2:28 Hax takes 1 percent of off-stage damage for going for that shine spike. Not optimal. Very easy to see the effects of his retirement right off the bat with that play.
+slapusillydawg lol i noticed that in the stream. i was saying NOT OPTIMAL but they don't have the mrdestructoid twitch emote cause hitbox is lame so RIP
Hax$ been studying Westballz. Instead of going for the Thunders combo by jabbing after the shine, he goes for a dash attack instead b/c he knows Westballz SDI'ing the jabs. The dash attacks lead into many kills. Good for Hax for recognizing this.
Aziz was housing West for that entire week before Pound, they were also playing a bit before they got to the venue. Westballz also missed doubles that because of this.
I hope this goes down in history as one of the most significant sets of all time, along with PC Chris vs. Ken, Game 4, all three Genesis GFs, and many more. This is Hax FUCKING Money showing everyone that he is back in the game, baby.
+Socket Tubey Significant? Maybe not one of the most of all time. It's great to see Hax play great like this, but it was very close, so it wasn't too convincing, especially since Swedish beat Westballz as well. But without a doubt, this is one of the best sets of all time. My favorite set of the year thus far!
+Socket Tubey lol.... no dude. its a great set but "history" wise there is almost none besides HAX FCKIN MONEY IS BAQ!!! XD if Genesis is SSS Tier, this would be like..... A/S tier lmao xdf
This is the sickest set of all time. Not the greatest, not the best, not the most important. But you show anyone this set and they're into Melee. They're both playing absolutely unbelievably well in this set. TAS levels.
Holds up extremely well even today. That Westballs combo in the first game where he side Bs to other side to edgeguard honestly looked pretty optimal and I don't see people do it much anymore.
This set was so sick man these guys are both technical as hellll. first set I've watched where I couldn't choose one player to root for/had to root for both of them
+John Smith Falco used fly but missed. no but seriously he tried to recover after being jabbed by fox but was hit by the shine so he fell to his death. foxes shine always sends you downward
Westballz barely uses lasers and tries to tussle causing him to over extend a lot. Especially that last stock last game he had stage control and couldve lasered to look for an opening. Instead he goes in and trades
+mysticcalm wavedash back up tilt is often much easier than having to do a turn around dash to continue the chain grab, and often it's more optimal if you want to hit them of stage, but you can still get a regrab from it usually until your at higher percents.
+mysticcalm no, ive recently been trying to learn foxs chaingrab and when the opponent does full di to the side its just one dash and a jump cancelled grab
