the Australian and new Zealand teams are split up and havent play each other yet . So the brumbies are higher seed on the table but they have had easier competition in general because they only play the other Australian teams. So the best New Zealand team is usually considered the best overall.

And since then the regular season is over Blues finished top of the table Crusaders 2nd. Blues finished 13 - 1 for 58 points, Crusaders 11 - 3 for 52 both comfortably ahead of the 3rd placed Chiefs on 45 points. Semi finals start this week. Blues v Crusaders will be the most likely final although you never can tell in finals rugby, if this is the case it will be in Auckland, like last year ;) Last year the final was played against the Highlanders, the Crusaders finished with the same points as the Highlanders but didn't clock up a great enough points differential to make the final. This year The Blues first Semi Final match is a repeat of last years final, unfortunately though the Highlanders do not appear to be the team they were last season. Anyway here's hoping for back to back Blues titles!

The All Blacks get their players from this competition we are smaller than the European competition whom have a larger pool to chose from. The ABs don't pick from the other competitions which IMO hinders their choice of players and needs to change if the ABs are gonna be world beaters again.
